Good luck to all MHYC juniors competing in the East Coast Cahmpionships this weekend.

Please note that due to the long weekend, there will be no racing in the Sydney City Marine Winter Series this Saturday.
 

MHYC Sydney City Marine Winter Series Race 5 Report

With rain falling and little wind blowing it looked like Hughie had pulled stumps for the race 5 of the Sydney City Marine Winter Series.

Sydney City Marine Winter Series

The Sydney City Marine Winter Series welcomes club racers and cruisers and encourages yachts from neighbouring clubs to participate either as a Series entrant or as a casual entrant. 

The 10 race Saturday series offers two drops to all series entrants. Every Saturday through to 16th July, 2011.  Spinnaker, non-spinnaker and IRC divisions with racing commencing at 1200 hours on the Sound. 

Competitors are reminded to collect their bow decals from the sailing office prior to racing.

Rack Room Update

The rack room is progressing smoothly and is looking great.  The sail repair locker will be operational next week and members can expect the sail storage lockers to be completed within the month.  If you have any queries at all, please contact Alister Copley on 9969 1244.

Sunday Roast at MHYC

Junior Centreboard East Coast Championships - June Long Weekend

MHYC Junior Centreboard Division is hosting the annual East Coast Championships on 11 & 12 June, 2011. This event will see Optimist Classes, 420 and 470 Classes competing on the waters of Middle Harbour.

Land based assistance to run this event is required.

Seniors Luncheon - Sunday 24th July

The 2011 Seniors Luncheon will be held at MHYC on Sunday 24th July.  The cost is $65 per head.  Invitations will be sent out in due course.  Keep the date in your diary!

The 2011 Financial and Media Markets Charity Regatta – Request for Yachts

The Financial Markets Charity Regatta will be held on Friday 28th October 2011 out of Middle Harbour Yacht Club. The purpose of the event is to raise over $100,000 for Australian Based Children’s and Medical Research charities. This will be added to the $1 million we are targeting to raise from our annual charity golf day. Read more....

State/National Race Officers Course

Yachting NSW is hosting a State/National Race Officers Course at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club on the Saturday 25 –Sunday 26 June 2011.

To become a State / National Race Office you will also have to be assessed on water and have events experience.

Cost to attend the 2 day course is $120, which includes all the course material, lunches and handouts.

The Sailing Office is currently putting together the MHYC Handbook for 2011/2012.  If you wish to have your yacht on the Boat Register or need to update your boat details, including a copy of your insurance policy details, please contact Andrew at
sailing-administrator@mhyc.com.au.

Please be reminded that your yacht will not be added to the Boat Register without your current insurance details forwarded to the Sailing Office.

Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta Survey

Middle Harbour Yacht Club, Title Sponsor Audi Australia and Yachting Australia would like to invite you to comment on the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta 2011 and the future development of the Sydney Harbour Regatta.
