Could you spend a day a month (or half a day) volunteering to help maintain your Club? Its reached an age where a bit more maintenance is needed, just like the writer. Some volunteers spend more time and that's wonderful for those who can.

Wednesday Series 3
Series 3 for the 2012-13 season has begun. Race 5 today, Wednesday 3rd April, 2013. Entries are open for Series 3 online - click here. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is from 1330 hours. Back by popular demand - Raffle tickets will be selling post race for a Meat Tray.
Wednesday Sailing start time will revert to 1300hrs from 10th April (Series 3, Race 6), post Daylight Saving. Count-up start from 1300hrs.
Get "Checked" Weekend - 15th & 16th June 2013
With the implementation of the new set of YA Special Regulations (Blue Book) coming to effect from 1st July, 2013, the Sailing Committee has programmed for MHYC to run a Get "Checked" Weekend on Saturday 15th June and Sunday 16th June, 2013. The initiative is to get boats audited under the new Special Regulations (revised every 4 years) in preparation for the major races and regattas in the Winter and Queensland racing season.

Yachting Australia Special Regulations 2013-2016 – Summary now Available
Yachting Australia has released a summary of changes in the 2013-2016 issue of the Special Regulations.
Yachting Australia issues Special Regulations in a four year cycle in keeping with the changes to the racing rules as issued by ISAF.
The current edition of the Special Regulations 2009-2012 will expire on the 30 June 2013, with the new Special Regulations coming into operation from 1 July 2013 until 30 June 2017.
New YA Special Regulations Audit Forms will be available in the coming weeks.

Calling all YA Special Regulations Auditors (Current & New)
Middle Harbour Yacht Club is calling all YA Special Regulations Auditors to reaccredit themselves under the new Blue Book rules and also welcomes any new enthusiastic auditing volunteers. The new edition of the YA Special Regulations comes into force on 1 July 2013.
In advance of this, Yachting NSW will be running a number of free seminars across the state for clubs to both reaccredit current auditors as well as accredit new auditors. MHYC will be holding a course on Saturday 27th April, 2013 (same day as MHYC Annual Presentation Cocktail Party), from 9am-12.30pm.
