This year the 2013 Barefoot Ball is on Saturday 9th February from 7pm. The theme this year is "Mexican" so get out your sombreros and maracas for a fun night with live band, "Planet Groove" and DJ until the early hours.

Notice to Members
As part of the fairly recent changes in the agreement with Cala Luna, there are still a couple of previous function bookings which were made under the old arrangements & which we still need to honour. As a result, there are a couple of changes to the normal services for Members over the next week or so & these are shown below. We trust that these arrangements will not cause any issues with you & we appreciate your support in helping to make these functions successful for MHYC.
Friday 8 February 2013 – Main Bar Closed between 3pm and 7pm
Main Bar will be closed to Members on Friday 8 February from 3.00pm until 7.00pm for a function. After 7pm the Main Bar will re-open for normal service. During the function, Members will be able to purchase drinks and food from the Harbourview menu from 6pm in the Sandbar.
Saturday 16 March 2013 – Main Bar Closed from 6pm
The Main Bar will be closed on Saturday 16 February for a function. Member Services will be available from the Sandbar.

 Thursday Twilight Race Reports - Race 16
MHYC Thursday Twilight Race 16 was a good evening for all 45 boats in the fleet but one that the larger yachts excelled. The race was a fast one in sunny NE winds gusting from 18 to 24 knots in 0.5 metre wave.

The next Tuesday Twilight race will be held on Tuesday 12th February, 2013, with 2 races left after this. It is a great, fun-filled, relaxed social evening so why not come out on the water with us before it all finishes! We look forward to you joining us.
Beach BBQ & Harbourview Bar & Bistro Open for Twilights
The delicious menu offerings for the Twilight Series will again consist of either casual meals from the BBQ ranging in price from $7 to $12, from stir fry Hokkien noodles with beef, Chicken burger, or stir fry Hokkien noodles with vegetables, to a Twilight bistro menu in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro. Bookings are essential for the Bistro. Please call 9969 1244 to book a table.
