MHYC Sydney City Marine Winter Series Race 3 Report
We thought Hughie was having a quite weekend last week but we now think he is on holidays.
For the second week in a row there was little wind come start time for the race. The race committee after much discussion decided to AP the race. We all played follow the start boat as they decided where to set a course. Read more...
Sydney City Marine Winter Series
The Sydney City Marine Winter Series welcomes club racers and cruisers and encourages yachts from neighbouring clubs to participate either as a Series entrant or as a casual entrant.
The 10 race Saturday series offers two drops to all series entrants. Every Saturday through to 16th July, 2011. Spinnaker, non-spinnaker and IRC divisions with racing commencing at 1200 hours on the Sound.
Competitors are reminded to collect their bow decals from the sailing office prior to racing.

Junior Centreboard East Coast Championships - June Long Weekend
MHYC Junior Centreboard Division is hosting the annual East Coast Championships on 11 & 12 June, 2011. This event will see Optimist Classes, 420 and 470 Classes competing on the waters of Middle Harbour.
Assistance to run this event is required both on-water and land based.

Seniors Luncheon - Sunday 24th July
The 2011 Seniors Luncheon will be held at MHYC on Sunday 24th July. The cost is $65 per head. Invitations will be sent out in due course. Keep the date in your diary!
State/National Race Officers Course
Yachting NSW is hosting a State/National Race Officers Course at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club on the Saturday 25 –Sunday 26 June 2011.
To become a State / National Race Office you will also have to be assessed on water and have events experience.
Cost to attend the 2 day course is $120, which includes all the course material, lunches and handouts.

Follow the Yellow Boat Road
On Tuesday May 31 at 7am, Tasmanian entrepreneur, Robert Pennicott will commence his journey from the Sydney Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour.
You're invited to sail alongside him as he motors down Darling Harbour, under the bridge, and out the Heads on his way to first port of call, Newcastle.
Roberts journey, in two 5.4m inflatable craft, will be raising money for the eradication of polio.
