Along with our farewell to Sailing Administrator, Roger Wragby this week, we are also sadly farewelling our Finance Manager, Helen Jackson, who has been an integral part of the MHYC team for over 12 years. Helen has seen many changes at the Club and has always shown a huge dedication and contribution to our growth and financial stability - she will be missed! We wish her all the best. If any Members know of a person that may be interested in the Finance Manager role, please contact Karen at karen@mhyc.com.au.
MHYC Awarded Clean Marina & Fish Friendly Accreditation
Congratulations and well done to Marina Manager, Matt Pyne and the Club's Marina Committee on being awarded as a Clean Marina - Level 3 and achieving a ‘Fish Friendly’ accreditation in addition, with an excellent score of 99.8%.

Race 10 of Series 3 for the 2016-17 season continues today, 3rd May, 2017, with a count up handicap start from 1.00pm

MHYC Winter Series - begins this Saturday 6th May, 2017
MHYC's Winter Series is held most Saturdays during Winter, including a 'short' series and sprint races. No racing is held over the June Long Weekend. The Sailing Instructions have now been amended so that a clubhouse start and finish will be used for all inshore harbour races and a boat start and finish will be used for all inshore sprint races. First Warning Signal at 1155hrs, with a Post Race Presentation. Morning Sandbar BBQ will greet skippers and crew prior to racing and the Harbourview Bistro will be serving Post Race weekly Specials for Members and Guests to enjoy.

Sail a MELGES 20s during the Winter season!
The Melges 20s are available to sail during the winter season by club members. If you wish to do this, please contact Nicky Bethwaite to make arrangements, as there has been significant interest in doing this. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to sail one of these responsive assymetric keelboats, don't miss out, as they're great fun and very easy to handle.
If you're interested in purchasing a Melges 20, several are available. Contact Nicky for further information.

The Sandbar Cafe is open 7 days a week from 8am. Come down to the Club & enjoy our coffee and freshly made gourmet rolls.
Harbourview Bar & Bistro - Open for Breakfast on the weekends!
The Harbourview Bar & Bistro is open on Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast from 9am - click here for the Breakfast menu.
The Harbourview Bar & Bistro's Lunch & Dinner menu is available online - click here for the current menu. Harbourview Bar & Bistro is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and Friday and Saturday for dinner, with daily specials. For all bookings, please call the MHYC office on 9969 1244.

Mother's Day at MHYC
Treat mum to breakfast or lunch at Middle Harbour Yacht Club on Mother's Day, Sunday 14th May, 2017. Enjoy the views over Middle Harbour from the Harbourview Bistro for either a Breakfast Buffet or special Mother's Day Lunch menu.
Breakfast Buffet available from 9am - $28 MHYC Members/$32 Non Members (Kids under 14 years $14 MHYC Members/$16 non members)
Lunch available from 12 noon with a specially written menu offering selections from entrees, main course and desserts! Don't miss out as early bookings for balcony space will fill up fast! Member's Room is also available for a private group - minimum 20 people (max 30) if you are interested. Entertainment from 12 noon onwards.

Functions at MHYC
It is great to see so many members making use of the Club's function rooms! Recently, MHYC boat, French Connection (Neil Simpson), held their crew presentation night and dinner at the Club in the Member's Room.
