MHYC E News 15th March, 2017
Welcome to MIDDLE HARBOUR YACHT CLUB's E-Newsletter
Congratulations to MHYC's Estate Master (Martin & Lisa Hill), 2017 Farr 40 Australian Champion, 2nd Angophora (Guido Belgiorno-Nettis), 4th & 1st Corinithian team, Edake (Jeff Carter), 6th Zen (Gordon Ketelbey) & 8th Exile (Rob Reynolds) in last weekend's Farr 40 2016/17 John Calvert-Jones National Championship held at RSYS! Please note: the Property Industry Foundation Charity Regatta will be held from MHYC this Friday 17th March. The Club will be extremely busy all day, particularly in the afternoon after racing, so please be aware that the car park area will be at its maximum. We are looking for some volunteers to assist with the packing of lunch packs and cooking bacon & egg rolls on the BBQ on Friday morning - if you have a spare hour or two to help out from around 7am-7.30am, please contact Karen, via email.
Note to Members: - Over the last couple of Saturdays, after racing, the Harbourview Bistro has become extremely busy with pre-reception wedding drinks arriving at the Club the same time as sailors coming back from racing. Most times we are notified and can accommodate them with extra bar staff allocated to handle the rush and other times guests arrive without any pre-warning. We understand that this congests the bar and along with new staff training, service can occasionally be slower than normal. Your patience and understanding is appreciated during these unpredictable occasions. It is great to see the Club is so busy and great for bar sales!
