Mosman Council Spit Foreshore Parking Permits for 2016/17, for non residents, are now available to purchase through MHYC for a 50% discount. The discount will only become applicable once 100+ MHYC Members have taken up the offer. Parking permits allow parking in both the East and West Spit Foreshore Parking areas 7 days a week. Race 13 and the final race of Series 3 for the 2015-16 season, being held today Wednesday 25th May, 2016. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up starting from 1300 hours.

MHYC Winter Series - Race 5 Saturday 28th May, 2016
The MHYC Winter Series has begun with Race 5 this Saturday 28th May, 2016. The Winter Series is held most Saturdays during Winter, including a 'short' series and sprint races.
No racing is held over the June Long Weekend. First Warning Signal at 1155hrs, with a Post Race Presentation. Morning Sandbar BBQ will greet skippers and crew prior to racing and the Harbourview Bistro will be serving Post Race weekly Specials for Members and Guests to enjoy.

NSW - State/National Race Officer Seminar - Saturday 25th June & Sunday 26th June, 2016
The Yachting Australia Race Officer Seminar is a half day seminar for Club level or two day seminar for State/National level, aimed at educating people who wish to become involved with the officiating aspect within the sport of Sailing. Race Officers play an important role within sailing, conducting racing at clubs, and enabling organised participation and competition. This is being run by MHYC's PRO, Phil Yeomans.

Get Checked Weekend & YA Special Regulations Audits - 18th & 19th June
MHYC will be holding its' annual Get Checked Weekend for Equipment Audits on the weekend of 18th & 19th June, 2016, which allows Club Members the perfect opportunity to have their boats audited prior to the new sailing season commencing. Members are encouraged, each year, to make their own pre-arrangements for services required, as they may be limited during the Get Checked Weekend. MHYC Member, David Lavings, of CMS Consulting, will be providing fire extinguisher servicing and replacement on Saturday. Bookings for an equipment audit are to be arranged directly through the MHYC Sailing Office or by emailing Roger Wragby at roger@mhyc.com.au.
Youth Sailing Prize Presentation - Sunday 29th May, 2016
Join us for the Youth Sailing Prize Presentation from the 2015/16 season results for the Optimist, Cadets and 420 and a lucky draw prize this Sunday 29th May, 2016 at 1pm, on the MHYC Rigging Deck.
1:00pm Youth Sailing Presentation – Presenting the 2015/16 season results for the Optimist, Cadets and 420 classes.
1:30pm Free Sausage Sizzle
2:00pm Melges Sailing – opportunity to sail a Melges 20 on Middle Harbour and to introduce the boats to the MHYC Youth Sailing Community.

It's on again - MHYC's Vivid Cruise! Join us on Thursday 2nd June, 2016, on MV Sydney as we cruise around Sydney Harbour to view the Vivid Festival. Pick up from Mosman Wharf at 5.45pm for the cruise beginning at 6pm and returning at 9pm. Arrival drink & canapes, buffet dinner, tea & coffee plus cash bar - $75 per person. Mosman Council Spit Foreshore Parking Permits 2016/17 - Book Online
The 2016/17 Mosman Council Spit Foreshore Parking permits are now available to purchase online to MHYC Members only, through Middle Harbour Yacht Club's website. The permit allows parking 7 days per week in both the East and West Spit Foreshore parking area and is open to MHYC Members who are non residents of Mosman. A 50% discount is offered once over 100 or more MHYC Members have purchased the permits at a cost of $175.

Ladies Lunch with Guest Speaker - Lexi Landsman - Thursday 16th June, 2016
MHYC's next Ladies Luncheon will be held on Thursday 16th June, 2016, at 12 noon, with guest speaker, author, Lexi Landsman. Lexi Landsman is an Australian television producer and journalist. She has worked on a range of award-winning documentary series for the Seven Network that have aired in Australia and internationally. She has degrees in Media Arts and Production, Drama Teaching and a Masters in Journalism. She will be speaking about her new and first book, The Ties That Bind - On opposite sides of the world, two lives are changed forever. One by the smallest bruise. The other by a devastating bushfire. And both by a shocking secret.

With quite a few sporting matches being shown live on Foxsports in June, bring your friends along and watch the games on the big screen in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro. For Bistro openings, please advise the Club on 9969 1244 for table bookings for Wednesday's State of Origin matches. For Saturdays, book a table early and join us for dinner before the game.

Paul Eldrid, Director of OneSails Australia, will be speaking on sail trim and the latest design technology, at MHYC on Thursday 23rd June at 6.30pm. Paul is an accomplished sailor with numerous victories in Australia and internationally including State, National & World Champion. Paul has designed, built sails and coached a string of National and World Champions. His sails have powered an impressive list of inshore and offshore yachts to victory worldwide.

The Breeze Magazine - 2016/17
Premier Publishing are putting together the Yacht Club’s Official Corporate Brochure, The Breeze, and wanted to offer existing members and sponsors a chance to profile in the publication for a 16 month period. Also if members know of any businesses or associates that might be of relevance in supporting the club and profiling their business please email across to Wayne Smith at wayne.smith@premierpublishing.com.au.
The brochure for The Middle Harbour Yacht Club will be designed as high-end marketing collateral and will be used extensively by the club and ourselves on behalf of the club to raise their profile within their local area in order and to increase revenue streams from new members / events / corporate sponsorship / dining & facilities etc. As such, distribution and circulation is on 5 levels and is maintained for 16 months.
