Congratulations to all competitors participating in the Premier Series Pointscore for the 2014/15 season. Last Saturday saw the final race of the series, with the placegetters as follows:-

Twilight Member Night - Hawaiian Style
We will be celebrating the end of the Twilight series by holding our last Member Night for the season - Hawaiian Style - tomorrow night, Thursday 26th March! Fish & chips will be available for $10, raffles 1 for $2 or 3 for $5 with great prizes, live music and Robert Oatley Vineyards wine tasting. Get your crew together for the final twilight night for the season and join us in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro post race.
2015 MHYC Winter Series Format – Have ‘your’ say!
To assist the Sailing Office with finalising the 2015 Winter Series Racing Schedule, the MHYC Sailing Committee has commissioned a short survey. Included are some very basic questions including one fundamental question being: Saturdays or Sundays?
All responses received by 2400hrs on Wednesday 1st April 2015, will go into a draw for a delicious bottle of wine! So, have your say now!
The Final format for the 2015 Winter Series, will be decided based on the results of this survey at the Sailing Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday 7th April, 2015.

MHYC Ladies' Luncheon - Wednesday 15th April
Attention Ladies!! Don’t forget to book in for MHYC’s first Ladies Luncheon being held on Wednesday 15th April being held in the Quarterdeck Function Room. This will be the first of 4 lunches we are holding this year and if you attend all 4, you have the best chances of winning a 7 night holiday for 2 people cruising the Canal du Midi in the South of France!
The lunch will be a lot of fun, get a group of girls together and join us in hearing about Aussie author Lynne Selby’s first book “That Green Italian Wagon”!!
Cost is $55 for 2 course lunch with a glass of sparkling on arrival - $60 for non-members. Will also be an interesting “craft” stall for ladies to look at some great gift ideas.

Join the Club now and we will waive the joining fee of $100, pro-rata the membership fee for the next couple of months, and give you 3 months free when you pay for the 2015/16 season. NSW International 420/470 State Championships
Congratulations to Alec Brodie and Xavier Winston Smith from MHYC, winners of the 2015 New South Wales 420 State Championships. Second were Nick Sharman and James Grogan from Victoria, who were tied with Sophie Macintosh and Emily Summerell from Gosford SC.

Sydney Sailboat Expo - 18th & 19th April, 2015

Sail Locker at MHYC
There is currently two spinnakers located in the Sail Locker at the Club that have been there for over 6 weeks taking up valuable space. Marina Manager, Matt Pyne, requests the owners to either dispose of the spinnakers or call him on 0418 242 637 if they are not required. Please be aware that the sail locker is a working repair locker and not to be used as a storage facility.
