 10th Anniversary Sydney Harbour Regatta
It's over now for another year and from all accounts so far, it was a huge success!
Many thanks must go to all the skippers and crew who participated to create a spectacle out on the water, and Sydney Harbour never looked so good with excellent sailing conditions.

 PIF Annual Charity Regatta - Friday 13th March, 2015
This is an annual event held at our Club, this year being Friday 13th March, 2015, raising money to help keep youth off the streets by the Property Industry Foundation and supported by businesses from all around Sydney and our own members who have donated their yachts for this very worthy cause.
For Club Member information, if you are not participating in this event, it is a day where you should probably plan not to visit the Club, as the expecation is for more than 1,300 people will be attending our premises in the afternoon from 4pm onwards.
For those of you who do need to come to the Club, particularly in the afternoon, strict security will be in place and just a reinder tha tyou will be asked to show your membership card to gain entry through to the Marina.
Please note that all Club rooms including the Sandbar Cafe and Harbourview Bar & Bistro will only be open to those guests attending the Function.

 Update on Fire & Cala Luna Restaurant
By now you will have seen all the hoarding and scaffolding which has been erected around the southern end of our building. The process we are going through now is the "make safe" and start of demolition. We are also awaiting communication from Mosman Council for clarification on the order to proceed and compliance matters in regard to the re-build of the restaurant space.
It has been a very upsetting time for Cala Luna operators, Emma, Michel and their staff as they have had to cancel many advance bookings for weddings, functions, and restaurant bookings and we hope this project will be completed as quickly as is practicable.
 MHYC Ladies' Lunch - Wednesday 15th April
Message from Karen: Back in my time at the RMYC, I introduced a series of Ladies' Luncheons with interesting guest speakers from all walks of life to share their story, experiences or background, enjoy a 2 course lunch and meet other ladies. This will be the first Ladies' Luncheon here at MHYC and I hope you will come along and join me!
Our first guest speaker is first-time Australian author Lynne Selby and her book "That Green Italian Wagon" - a mixture of love, laughs, travel and a few "shades of grey".
Cost is $55 pp and includes 2 course lunch, glass of wine or sparkling on arrival and a fun afternoon in the Quarterdeck Function room.

Aberdeen Asset Managment 2015 Farr 40 One Design Trophy
At the end of a short and intense Farr 40 One Design Trophy regatta on Sydney Harbour, the fleet beat the southerly burst moving up the NSW coast at 35 knots and Lloyd Clark’s Voodoo Chile beat the fleet by three points having taken Transfusion to the protest room, where both boats were disqualified from a game changing race six. For the interim, the Harbourview Bar & Bistro will be open for lunch Wednesday - Sunday and dinner, Friday & Saturday only. These opening times will be subject to change depending on function bookings and changes advised as soon as possible.
 Tackers & Learn to Sail Easter Holiday Bookings Open
Fun and adventure on the water for the kids during the Easter school holidays! Bookings are now open online for April 7th - 10th and April 13th - 16th, for Tackers and Learn to Sail Teenagers. 4 day camps for $435 MHYC Members, $563 Non Members - (includes Youth membership to August 2016).

 NSW International 420/470 State Championships
The NSW International 420 and 470 State Cahmpionships will be hosted by Middle Harbour Yacht Club over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd March, 2015. Entries are now open - click here. The early bird special will close on Friday 20th March, 2015, at 12 noon.
