Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter.  Many thanks to all Members and the local community for your patience and understanding with the parking and activity at the Club last week during a film shoot.  The production company were very grateful and hopefully got some great footage of the Club for their film!

Sydney City Marine Winter Series - Race 10

Sydney City Marine Leading Edge Series - Race 1 - 2nd August, 2014

For those who wish to keep racing on Saturdays until the 2014/5 program begins in September, the SCM Leading Edge series runs for 5 races from 2 August.

The Leading Edge series features a Clubhouse Start, pursuit racing from 1230, with both Spinnaker and Non Spinnaker divisions, casual and series entrants welcome

Wednesday Series 4 supported by Inner Circle Rum

Race 8 of Series 4 for the 2013-14 season today, Wednesday 23rd July, 2014. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1300 hours. Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

2014/15 Membership Renewals - One Week left!

One week to go to be entered in the draw for a Hamilton Island escape, when renewing your membership. Closing date for the draw is Thursday 31st July.  Online renewals are also available through the MHYC website - click here. To be entered in the draw to win an island escape to Hamilton Island, renew before 31st July. (All Members on our direct debit system will automatically be entered).

Commodore’s Ball – Celebrate in Style - Friday 12th September, 2014 - Online Bookings Open

Bookings are open for MHYC's Commodore’s Ball to be held on Friday 12th September 2014 from 7pm.  You can book a table of 10 or individually.  Please note that the Payway option for credit card payment is Westpac's payment system.

Mosman Foreshore Parking - The Spit 

Mosman Council is now in the process of printing our first batch of Foreshore parking permits. You will be notified by the Club when these are ready for collection from the Club - you will be required to sign for your permit.  We are currently taking more names for those that would like to go on the waiting list for the next batch.  We are required to reach another 100 to receive the 50% discount.  Please call reception to be added to the waiting list.

Annual General Meeting - tomorrow 24th July, 2014, at 7pm

Notice is hereby given that the 74th Annual General Meeting of Members of Middle Harbour Yacht Club will be held in the Clubhouse, Lower Parriwi Road, The Spit, Mosman, NSW 2088 on Thursday 24th July 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Harbourview Room.

Pumpout Facility at MHYC

The pumpout facility at the Club is now in operation and located on B Arm. The new system was possible through a Roads and Maritime Services grant. 

Seniors Lunch

What a great turn out for our Senior's Lunch last Sunday, with over 80 in attendance.  A perfect day to catch up with friends and reminisce about the good ol' days.  Many thanks to Hugh Treharne for his inspiring and entertaining talk as guest speaker.
