Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter. Please note that there will be no Saturday racing this weekend or next due to the long Weekend and Annual Get Checked Weekend.  If you are still planning to have your boat audited, please contact the Sailing office to book in.

Note to Members:- We are trialling new opening hours for the Sandbar & Cafe, which will now be open from 2.30pm until 6pm on Fridays. Please support the Club and join us for a Friday drink!

Opening Hours for the June Long Weekend

With the June long weekend this weekend, the Club's trading hours will be as follows:-

Sandbar & Cafe - 8.30am - 2pm (Sat & Sun)/9am - 3pm (Mon)

Harbourview Bar & Bistro -  12noon - 9pm (Sat) /12 noon - 6pm (Sun)/Closed (Mon)
Office - 9am - 5pm (Sat)/10am - 3pm (Sun)/9am - 12 noon(Mon)
Tender Service will operate each day from 9am - 5pm.

Sydney City Marine Winter Series - Race 5

Race 5 of the Sydney City Marine Winter Series was held last Saturday. To view Results - click here.
Race 6 will be held Saturday 21st June, 2014.

Wednesday Series 4 supported by Inner Circle Rum

Series 4 for the 2013-14 season begins today with Race 1, Wednesday 4th June, 2014. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1300 hours. Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

Get Checked Weekend - 14th & 15th June - Bookings Now Open

The annual "Get Checked" weekend will be held on 14th & 15th June, 2014.  This is the perfect opportunity for yacht owners to get the YA Special Regulations Equipment Audits carried out for the coming 2014/15 sailing season.  Bookings are now open.

The Socceroos World Cup campaign begins on Saturday 14th June, 2014, with game 1 Vs. Chile at 8am live on the big screen.  Come down to the Club and cheer them on! 
Bacon & egg rolls, coffee, tea, muffins available. from the Sandbar & Cafe.

Kid's Disco & Karaoke

The next Kid's Disco & Karaoke, with Bop Till You Drop,  will be held on Friday 20th June, 2014, from 6pm-8pm, in the Quarterdeck room.  $10 per child (includes snack & drink).

Cruising Division Life Memberships

Like to get more use and enjoyment from your boat after racing round the buoys?
Why not think about joining the Cruising Division of your Club.
For a small once only fee, the Cruising Division offers Life Membership (of the Cruising Division) to MHYC members with on water events and cruises suitable for the family, often designed to enhance seamanship and safety techniques. Enjoy swapping maintenance tips while honing safety and navigation skills.
The Cruising Division meets 7:30 pm every 3rd Monday in the upstairs Bar (bring your own BBQ before) with monthly Speakers presentations. So come along for you are assured of a genuine welcome.

The 2014 Seniors Lunch is fast approaching for those Senior Members who have been Full members for 20+ years.  Invitations will be sent  in the next week - Save the date - Sunday 20th July, 2014, from 12 noon.
