Notice to Members - Update on Club Facilities & Management Team
Dear Member,
The Board would like to provide you with an update on the club facilities and the management team.
As you would have seen the new marina extension is complete and the rigging deck is well on its way to being finished. This new infrastructure has significantly increased the marina capacity and usability of our deck space. We would like to thank the Marina Committee and the project manager Alister Copley for the huge amount of work they put in to ensure the completion of the marine extension within budget.
These changes have materially increased the clubs assets and created new opportunities to develop future revenue. Therefore the Board has taken this opportunity to look at how we can best improve the club for our membership and take full advantage of these great facilities. As a result we shall soon be advertising for the new position of Club General Manger. The General Manager will be responsible for all areas of your club and report directly to the Board. The creation of this role will streamline the management structure and improve communication and service to the members.
In addition we are also currently looking at a selection of new ISAF endorsed sports boats to become a new fleet within the club. The chosen class will provide some high speed fun and renew interest in the smaller boats at the club. This class will also provide a step up for our youth sailors from the 420's and 470's into a small keelboat. Our new rigging deck will provide the perfect home for this fleet.
We hope the membership is as enthusiastic about the new facilities and the changes we are putting into place as the Board.
The Board of Middle Harbour Yacht Club
