Tickets to the 2014 Barefoot Ball are still available online. Book now for a night of fun in the1950's, Rock 'n' Roll style! Cocktail on arrival, American Diner style food, wine tents, live music with the Regulators.
Members $80/Non Members $95. Groups of 10 or more discount. $50 tickets for students over 18 years (ID must be shown at the door).

Sydney Harbour Regatta - 8th & 9th March 2014 -
- Rematches & Redemption

Middle Harbour Yacht Club has so far attracted over 140 quality entries for the upcoming Sydney Harbour Regatta (SHR), and the scene is set for rematches and redemption from some of the best in the business.

For those yet to join the fray, entries for the 9th edition of the regatta, to be held over the weekend of 8 and 9 March, close this Friday at midnight. Late entries will be accepted until midnight of Friday February 28, but attract a late entry fee.

Wild Oats Thursday Twilights - 20th February, 2014

The Wild Oats Thursday Twilight Series continues - Race 19 tomorrow Thursday 20th February, 2014. There will be 23 pointscore races in the Series with the final race being on 27th March 2014.

Feature Event - March Cup & Women's Race Day

MHYC's next Feature Event, the March Cup & Women's Race Day, will be held on Saturday 1st March, 2014. Spinnaker and non-spinnaker divisions plus trophies for all female crew and female helm with mixed crew.  Clubhouse start from 1230hrs.  Get your wives, partners, friends together for a fun day on the water!

Sailing Clinic - Tactics & Strategies

MHYC's next sailing clinic for MHYC Members and guests will be on Tactics & Strategies, presented by guest speaker, Craig Ferris. A great clinic for those competing in the upcoming Sydney Harbour Regatta to hone their skills!
Wednesday 26th February, 2014, from 7.30pm. $10 MHYC Members/$20 Non Members.

Twilight Member Night - Thursday 27th February, 2014

The second last Twilight Member Night for 2013/14 season will be held next Thursday 27th February.  Tempura Battered Fish & Shoestring Chips with lime aioli and salads for $5 per person, raffles, prizes, tastings.  Get the crew together for a fun night post race.

Club Happenings...

The balustrade and new balcony upstairs is now complete.  The Adopt a Plank engravings will hopefully be underway shortly - an update to follow in the coming weeks.  The Harbourview Bar & Bistro has launched its new Summer menu - click here to view - with some exciting choices.  We have already received great feedback.  Please send any feedback to scott@mhyc.com.au so we can pass onto Cala Luna.
The Club now has a new hot water system which should see us through the next 10 years or so.  Repairs to the downstairs men's shower area is scheduled to take place next week.  Volunteers are needed to assist with repairs around the Club as well as gardening - please contact Scott if you have some spare hours to assist.

Nigel Holman Race 4 Rum

After the success of last years inaugural Nigel Holman Race 4 Rum in 2013, Manly Yacht Club will again be holding the event on the 2nd of March as a fundraiser for the Canteen charity for youth with cancer. The race will be an inshore 7 island course. Sailor Jerry's Rum will be supplying the rum prizes and many other sponsors have come on board with prizes from the draw.
