 MHYC Members at Cowes Week
As part of an MHYC team, Julie & Kerry Hodder, Gordon Ketelbey, Geoff Charters are sailing on Aberdeen Management Sailplane. They came 8th out of a division of 32 boats over the weekend, with a possible 6th but the headsail blew up. They are sailing ICRC div 3 and are currently 8th overall. They have been official guests at the Royal Yacht Squadron cocktail party and met up with the Mayor of Cowes and the Commodore.
Suzie and Peter from Toybox are also in Cowes sailing ICRC div 5.
470 World Championships in La Rochelle, France

 Start Boat Team Member Required
One of our start boat regulars will no longer be available for the forthcoming season so we need a new crew Member or Members for our start boat, Hugh George. Experience not necessary as the regular team on board will show you the ropes, but those with race management experience will be welcomed. This is an ideal way to get out on the water and to learn about race management, and would suit those who are no longer sailing, who wish to become involved in sailing, or whose partners are out there sailing! Help is needed on Saturdays from about 9.30am to 4pm, and the more the merrier, a roster will be prepared if we have sufficient numbers. If you would like to help out or need more information please contact the Sailing Office on 9969 1244.
MHYC Sailing Handbook 13/14 - Advertising Space Available
Advertising space in the 2013/14 Sailing Handbook is now available. Please contact Alister Copley at alister@mhyc.com.au, for rates and more details. The new edition of the Sailing Handbook is currently in production and will be available to Members at the end of August for the new sailing season.
Notice to Boat Owners
We will shortly be preparing the 2013-2014 MHYC Sailing Handbook for publication, and this will include the Member’s Boat Register.
The MHYC Boat Register is a list of boats owned by current Life, Full Adult, or Senior Members. If your vessel was listed in the last handbook and there have been no changes it will appear again as before: if your vessel was not listed and you would like it to be, or if you have acquired a new vessel or sold your current one, please let us have the appropriate details so that the new listing is as accurate and up to date as possible.

 Annual Skippers Briefing
The Annual Skippers Briefings will be held on Friday 30th August and Thursday 26th September, 2013, from 6.30pm Each boat must be represented on either of the 2 nights. More details to come.
