 2013 Annual Presentation Cocktail Party - Saturday 27th April 2013
The 2013 Annual Presentation Cocktail Party will be held at MHYC this Saturday 27th April, 2013, from 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start. Awards will be presented for all Club divisions in the Annual & Twilight series for the 2012/13 sailing season. An complimentary arrival drink and canapés will be served. $40 per person. Live entertainment with follow the presentation.

Spit Car Parking this Weekend
Please note that both Spit car parks (East & West) will be extremely busy this weekend due to a Middle Harbour Paddlers Regatta in the morning with over 150 paddlers competing as well as an YA Special Regulations Auditors course being held at MHYC from 9am.

 ANZAC Two Up Cup - Sailing Instructions Now Available
The ANZAC Two Up Cup race will be held tomorrow, on Anzac Day, Thursday 25th April. Clubhouse start from 1230 hours. Join us in the bar post race for a fundraising fun game of "Two Up". All funds raised to go to the Frank Likely Trust in support of MHYC Junior Sailing.

 Tasmanians 2 Unlimited, Melges 32 Championship and Series winners
Sydney Harbour was picturesque, clear and sunny with a light shifting five to ten knot wind from the South, South East in stark contrast to the conditions faced by the Melges 32 fleet yesterday. Middle Harbour Yacht Club made the best of conditions on offer and finished the series, nine races in total.

 Sydney Harbour Regatta - Dates announced for 2014
Sydney Harbour Regatta 2014 dates have been announced by Middle Harbour Yacht Club Commodore, John McCuaig. The popular sailing event will be held on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 March in 2014. This will mark the ninth edition of the event, held in March annually, which attracted a massive 220 entries this year, well up on the previous year. It was the only Australian keelboat regatta to see an increase in numbers during the past year.

Get "Checked" Weekend - 15th & 16th June 2013
With the implementation of the new set of YA Special Regulations (Blue Book) coming to effect from 1st July, 2013, the Sailing Committee has programmed for MHYC to run a Get "Checked" Weekend on Saturday 15th June and Sunday 16th June, 2013. The initiative is to get boats audited under the new Special Regulations (revised every 4 years) in preparation for the major races and regattas in the Winter and Queensland racing season.

Calling all YA Special Regulations Auditors (Current & New)
Middle Harbour Yacht Club is calling all YA Special Regulations Auditors to reaccredit themselves under the new Blue Book rules and also welcomes any new enthusiastic auditing volunteers. The new edition of the YA Special Regulations comes into force on 1 July 2013.
In advance of this, Yachting NSW will be running a number of free seminars across the state for clubs to both reaccredit current auditors as well as accredit new auditors. MHYC will be holding a course on Saturday 27th April, 2013 (same day as MHYC Annual Presentation Cocktail Party), from 9am-12.30pm.
