Beach BBQ & Harbourview Bar & Bistro Open for Twilights
The delicious menu offerings for the Twilight Series will again consist of either casual meals from the BBQ ranging in price from $7 to $12, from Thai chicken & vegetable curry or Trout pasta salad, to a Twilight bistro menu in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro. Bookings are essential for the Bistro. Please call 9969 1244 to book a table.

Thursday Twilight Race 1 Report
There was a great turn out of over 40 boats for the first Middle Harbour Yacht Club Thursday twilight race for 2012/2013 season. This was in spite of the poor weather forecast of rain & strong winds.

MHYC Sprints Series
The new MHYC Sprint Series has arrived! The new racing format forms part of the Annual, Spring and Summer Pointscores for all the regular Saturday racing Divisions and will be a Series within its own right. With twice the amount of action packed into the one day, each division will race two consecutive short course Windward/Leeward races which will surely spice up the racing season. Dates for the first round of Sprint Racing are;
Saturday 20th October – 1st Warning Signal at 1255 hrs

After a week of the weather forecasts bouncing around we finally came down to a day of Southerlies of 10 to 15 knots.
So out to have a look at the Sound to see where the course was likely to be set. The buoy was set just inside South Head and after a while we had the Start Boat take up station South west of the Bombora Marks.
