Series 3 has begun, proudly supported by Inner Circle Rum and The Space Day Spa, Manly, and continues through to 30th May 2012. Series entries for Series 3 are still open - click here.
Please note that the start time as of today, 4th April, is now 1300 hours countdown.
There will be no Wednesday Series race on 25th April, being Anzac Day. Instead, the Two Up Cup will be held. Details to follow next week.

# 1 Division Race Report
With La Nina having moved off we seem to be having a last flutter of Summer. Last Saturday was a good example.
The day was a bright sunny say with a BOM forecast one of the shortest I have seen. “Winds under 10 knots.”

NSW State Optimists Championships at MHYC
Last weekend, MHYC hosted the NSW State Optimist Championships. With glorious weather, not the strongest of wind, both the Green and Open Fleets were out in the Harbour. It was truly a wonderful sight to see so many boats, all 127 of them and this was just the Optis!

Junior Sailing Holiday Camp - Book now!
The April school holiday camp will run from 16th - 19th April, 2012. Our holiday camps are a combined Tackers and Fun camp with lots of activities to entertain the kids while learning to sail, including sand building competitions, treasure hunts and beach games. Click here for more details.

Annual Presentation & Dinner 2012
MHYC's Annual Presentation and Dinner will be held at MHYC on Friday 27th April, 2012. Tickets are now available to purchase online - click here - or by phone to the office on 9969 1244.
Tickets are $85 per person, which includes an arrival drink, canapes, 2 course meal and entertainment.
As this function usually books out fairly quickly, it is advised that Members get their crew together quickly to book a "Boat" table.
Barefoot Ball 2012
Another year of the Barefoot Ball has gone by. It was a fabulous night last Friday for MHYC's Annual Ball with the dance floor crowded while the Enormous Horns played and then continuing upstairs to DJ Paul. The Club looked great - decked out in a Beach theme with beach huts, deck chairs, surf backdrop along the Sandbar deck, and plenty of leis for all attendees. Everyone dressed up and looked the part whether in beachwear or formal. Photos will be added to the website gallery shortly - stay tuned!

Spit Bridge Upgrade - Closing 30th April - 13th May
MHYC in conjunction with Roads & Maritime Services (NSW Maritime) have laid down a number of temporary moorings in the vicinity of the Pumphouse and Chinamans Beach to service yachting in the main harbour during the Spit Bridge Closure.
