Food & Beverage - Heads of Agreement
Dear Fellow Members,
As you will have read from the Club’s e-news the proprietors of Cala Luna have been assisting the Club with delivery of our catering and function services in recent weeks.
Behind the scenes the Club’s Food and Beverage Committee has been working to extend this relationship.
I am delighted to now advise you that the Club has reached Heads of Agreement with Cala Luna, granting them a License on the Upper Deck space (the area formerly occupied by the Shores Restaurant). Under this arrangement the Cala Luna Restaurant will relocate from its current premises and members will have the option to now enjoy a vastly improved dining experience on site at the Club. It will also provide the Club with a reliable licence fee income from the restaurant.
Cala Luna will be open to members and the public, both for a la carte dining and for functions.
The Heads of Agreement goes further and provides for the Club and Cala Luna to enter into a joint venture to operate the Seabreeze Bistro, the Main Bar and the Sand Bar within the Club’s premises.
The Board of Directors and the Food and Beverage Committee believe this will lead to a significant improvement in the quality of food being served from the Bistro and the Sand Bar and ensure that staffing efficiency is maximised between these respective food and beverage service points.
A briefing session will be held at the Club on the evening of Tuesday 25 October commencing at 6.00 pm for members who are interested to hear and discuss the details of these arrangements.
