Thursday Twilight Series Race 1

New for this season's Twilight series, entries shall be split into 6 divisions.
Count up start from 6pm.  Competitors are reminded to refer to MHYC Special Regulation 16.2 with regards to the start line.

J24 NSW State Championships Report

Congratulations to Chris Lee and his MHYC crew of Vortex (Graeme Lee, Dianne Sissingh, Nigel Hart & John McCuaig – We missed you Rach!!) for an outstanding performance finishing third in this years J24 NSW State Championships.

YNSW Youth Championships Report

MHYC was represented by 18 Sailors at the recent YNSW Youth Championships held at Lake Illawarra; this included four 420s, nine Optimists and two Bic Technos. In challenging conditions all sailors showed great persistence and improvement.

Term 4 Tackers and Learn to Sail commences this Sunday 9th October. There are still vacancies in all classes however some classes are filling up fast including 420 Learn to Sail 3 and Tackers 1. If you would like to enrol please contact Meghan or head to www.juniorsailing.com.au for all forms.

CYCA /RSYS Sailing Handbooks are now available from the Sailing Office. Each boat entered into the following MHYC Series is requested to collect a copy;

A limited number of handbooks have been supplied by the CYCA & RSYS, so only one (1) handbook shall be issued to each MHYC boat for the season.

Building Works In Progress  -

A Lift and a New Lobby for MHYC

Our ‘Build a Better Club Program’ is progressing to the next major project, that is, to install a lift in the main lobby. 
The lift will enable less mobile members to continue to use the Club. The Club is also hosting the World Access Games in April next year (only 7 months away).

Craigmoor Melbourne Cup Luncheon

The race that stops a Nation!  MHYC will be holding its annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon on Tuesday 1st November, 2011, from 12 noon with sweeps, calcutta and prizes for best dressed and best hat - including an amazing gourmet hamper!

MHYC Members $70 per person

Non Members $80 per person

Tables of 10 or more $70 per person

Price includes a glass of Craigmoor sparkling wine on arrival, 3 course menu and tea/coffee.
