MHYC sailors performing overseas
MHYC sailors are achieving great things on the international stage right now!
The Offshore Two-Handed Mixed World Championships in Marseille have come to a thrilling conclusion on Friday . Right up to the very end, four crews battled it out for the three podium places in a nail-biting final race amid calm conditions. The medal positions were decided in a mere handful of knots of wind. Reigning champions, Thomas André and Colombe Julia from France secured the win after 2 days, 50 minutes and 26 seconds. 25 minutes behind, MHYC members Annie Stevenson and Peter Winter took second place with the German team Gerckens/Tassin in third.
Meanwhile, Mitch White is currently racing at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez aboard the Wally 94 Astra I. This follows on from the Australian entry finishing third in the Maxi 3 division at the recent Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Sardinia.
