MHYC Squads
Good luck to all MHYC youth sailors competing in Sail Sydney 2014 this week. We have a number of 420 and Opti sailors competing, along with Australian Sailing Team members. Two of the MHYC Coaches will also be supporting our sailors during the week. For more information and results, visit the Sail Sydney website.
Last Sunday for the Season
Please note that this Sunday is the final day of Term 4 Tackers/Learn to Sail and Squads. There will be presentations for all the sailors after each session.

Wishing all MHYC Youth Members and their families a happy and safe Christmas and New Year. See you all back in 2015!

An Invitation to Cruise
The Clubs Cruising Division representative Phil Darling approached me during the week, to offer an invitation to Junior Sailing members and their parents to join in with their Harbour Days this Summer. Kids and parents are welcome to jump on board with the fleet and head out for the day exploring the Harbour and its beautiful surrounds. Parents who own their own boats are also encouraged to come along and enjoy the day out with the group.
It would be great to see a contingent of our juniors getting out there and enjoying the different philosophy of sailing that our Cruising Division can offer. It's not all about racing!
The Cruising Division has plans for a harbour sail in January, for more information email Phil at darlingp@ozemail.com.au or contact Leon on leon@mhyc.com.au, or otherwise pop into the junior sailing office for a chat next time you're down at the club.
Please Label your Gear!
As the numbers of kids grow, so does the size of our lost property pile! Please make sure you label all of your kids gear, and if you think you might have left something at the Club please come and ask, there is only so much sailing gear I can give away to my family at Christmas!

Notice to Members
It seems to be a regular occurrence of late that Members are 'borrowing' items from either the Club's rack and store room, on Club vessels and in some cases even off other Members' boats.
If you need to borrow something, some simple rules apply:
Please notify someone what you have taken and most importantly, please return it to the place and in the condition you found it.
The Club is now in the position of having to replace items such as chains, anchors and lines and is an unnecessary cost if the itmes are returned when borrowed.
Thank you for your assistance.
