MHYC Squads Report
The last of the winter pointscore was sailed on the weekend in a light East North Easterly. RO Robyn Tames had bit of fun trying to set the course with a wind that was originally from the south east, add the skiffies and lasers into the mix and it was very hard. However Robyn, Mark and the mark boats did a great job to get all 3 races in and have some very close racing.
We will be restarting again on October 13 with Sundays as well as Wednesday and Friday after school sessions for the Optimists. This will be a big term with lots of regattas for our squads including the NSW IODA Teams Racing Championships that we will be defending our title at and also for the first time we will be hosting Sail Middle Harbour. This is a regatta for most of the Olympic Classes as well as the 420's and 29ers.
We are looking forward to a big summer ahead with all our sailors competing well and having fun under the MHYC banner.
Travelers Trophy 1 at Northbridge Sailing Club is on this Saturday with registration between 9am and 10am. MHYC will be sending a rib across with Ben Stoner to support any MHYC sailors going. The rib will be leaving at 9am. For more information please email Locky at juniorsailing@mhyc.com.au
