Special Olympic Sailing Team train at MHYC
The Special Olympic Sailing Team were at MHYC over the weekend for training in the lead up to World Summer Games in Greece between June 25th and 4th July this year. The team used the club owned Club 420 junior sailing dinghies along with Laser 4.7 and Flying Fish Laser Bahia’s. Gordon Ketelby and Craig Douglas kindly assisted with the use of their rib on Sunday.
The weather was mixed for the team, however the beach access along with the great sailing conditions on Middle Harbour Sound, ensured a successful time was had by all.

Are You Looking for Crew? Or Wanting to Crew?
For any skippers who are looking for new crew or just need that extra crew member, there are several options available to ensure your competitiveness in the Sydney City Marine Winter Series.
The Sailing Office is always available to help with your crew requests and has an extensive email database of persons who have indicated their interest in crewing opportunities. An online version is also available - click here.
The most effective and popular method is picking up crew from the Breezeway on the Saturday mornings prior to the race. Crew can leave their details on the Crew Board and vice versa with boats requiring crew.
Please don't hesitate to contact the Sailing Office with your crew request on 02 9969 1244 or sailing-administrator@mhyc.com.au.
