MATT HANNING (SPUERNOVA) TAKES DIV 2 IN OCEAN POINTSCORE
Congratulations to MHYC Member Matt Hanning who lead his boat, Supernova, to victory in the CYCA Ocean Pointscore series this season. We love hearing of members accomplishments both on and off the water so please let us know if you, your crew or any other MHYC members achieve something worth celebrating!
"After a long Ocean Pointscore season at, we had a 1st in division on IRC and 4th overall on IRC, the latter is an amazing result for a little boat; we had 2 x 1s and 1 x 2 in 8 completed races; the big boats also got a bonus from the Newcastle race which none of the Div 2 boats could finish within time on the conditions.
We also finished second in Division on PHS.
The Div 2 irc result all came down to the result today between ourselves and Amante, another Sydney 36. Fortunately we not only won our division but the overall race today.
We were the only MHYC boat in Div 2 and the highest finishing MHYC boat overall on IRC, pleased to have flown the flag for the club!" - Matt Hanning
