Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta 2011 - Entries Close this Saturday 19th Feb

The 2011 Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta promises to be another year of competitive racing for all fleets and classes on Sydney Harbour and offshore for IRC rated windward/leeward racing and selected one-design classes. Shore-side the Regatta will be complimented by an exciting line-up of live entertainment, beach parties, beach barbeques, daily regatta highlights on the marina LED screen and more.

Support the Smith Family, enter MHYC's Charity race being held on Friday 4th March 2011.   Entry is free.  Come and join in the fun - brunch with celebrities, remote control model yacht racing, post race entertainment, beverages and light catering.  A day not to be missed in the lead up to the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta.

MHYC Reciprocal Membership

It has been a few years now since we had the fire in the old clubhouse, however we still find things that are missing. One of the most valuable items is our list of clubs we have reciprocal rights with.

We know some of our sister clubs but not all of them. We are putting out this appeal to see if anyone has the old list. The club will then write up a list and publish it on our website for the benefit of all our members.

MHYC Yacht Rally to the Lycian Coast, Turkey September 2011

Just over a month to go before the prize is drawn to win a trip to the Lycian Coast Yacht Rally in Turkey for 2 people (airfares not included).  Propose a new Full Adult or Crew member to join MHYC and they will be entered, along with you, into the draw.  Draw closes 31st March and will be drawn at the Barefoot Ball on 1st April, 2011.

Trevor Joyce, from Mariner Boating Holidays, has confirmed that MHYC has 3 crews of about 20 people booked for the Rally, with 9 boats booked in total from CYCA and RSYS.  There are still spaces available, so call Trevor or Lauren today for more information.  Visit their website at www.marinerboating.com.au

Kid's Disco at the Club - tomorrow night - Friday 18th February, 2011

The first Kid's Disco for 2011 will be held in the Quarterdeck on Friday 18th February, 2011, from 6.00pm-8.00pm.

Bring the kids along for some fun with Bop Til You Drop.  Cost $10 per child (includes drink and snack).

Last Friday of the Month Entertainment/Member's Badge Draw - 25th February, 2011

Live entertainment with "Hip Fidelity" from 6.30pm - 9.30pm.  Member's badge draw at 8.00pm.

The second last Friday Twilight Spinnaker Race for the season is also on with a countup start from 1800 hours from the Clubhouse.

2011 PIF Regatta

The Annual Property Industry Regatta is on 25 March 2011, an Invitation is extended to MHYC boat owners to compete. The event raises funds to help homeless children, PIF would very much like yacht owners to donate their yachts for this charity day. If you would like PIF to source a company for you they are more than happy to do this.
