No Racing this Saturday - Gold Coast Yacht Race Start
No racing is scheduled at MHYC this Saturday July 29 in deference to the start of the Land Rover Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race in the vicinity of Steele Point at 1300hrs. It will be busy on the harbour with a strong list of entries and many spectator boats expected. The CYCA will be live streaming the start of the race for people around the world to watch with drone video and live commentary adding a new dimension to one of Australia's biggest offshore races. Crew Required for MHYC yacht, Nine Dragons
Nine Dragons DK46 race yacht is now building crew for the Spring and Summer season. We are happy to train new crew ,and to welcome back our loyal core crew, so please respond and confirm your availability. Speakers' Lunch - David Hill "The Fair & The Foul"
Friday 1st September - maybe a great gift idea just in time for Fathers Day!
This will be a very interesting and entertaining lunch with David Hill as he recalls his encounters with the great and the good in Australian sport, as well as some of its darker moments. David is also well known for his battles as president of the North Sydney Bears, his role at the ABC and buying the broadcast rights for the AFL and his time as chairman of Soccer Australia.

Father's Day - Sunday 3rd September
Start the day off with a fabulous hot & cold buffet breakfast in the Harbourview Bistro - $28 for Members, $32 non-members & children $14 3-15 yrs, under 3 yrs is free!

We plan to publish the register of MHYC members’ yachts once again with the forthcoming Sailing Handbook, so to enable us to ensure that it is as up to date and accurate as possible please let us know if you have recently acquired a new boat, disposed of one, or think that you may not be on the register and should be, or indeed if you have long disposed of a boat which still appears on the register. Please email sailing.manager@mhyc.com.au with boat name, sail number, owners names.

MHYC's monthly kid's disco will be held this Friday 18th August, 2017. A great time for the kids to have some fun after their first week back at school since the holidays! One Sails Trim Seminar - Wednesday 2nd August, 2017, 6.30pm
Join Paul Eldrid from One Sails when he presents a Winter sail trim seminar at MHYC on Wednesday 2nd August, 2017, at 6.30pm. The talk will focus on sail trim but include the Trim cycle and Modes so it would be relevant to racing and cruising members. All welcome.
