MHYC Member, Rob Ogilvie, was absent on Saturday night to receive the The R.B. Cooper Perpetual Award for Voluntary Service which is presented to a Club Member whose outstanding voluntary service is deemed to have contributed most to the affairs and wellbeing of MHYC in a membership year. He was at the Club for lunch today, giving Karen Baldwin, General Manager, the opportunity to present his award to him. Congratulations Rob!
It's Volunteer Week - a huge thank you to our many volunteers that help out around the Club from the marina committee, Board and Flag Officers, race management, membership, sailing and youth sailing committees, Cruising Division, auditors to BBQ volunteers, maintenance crew of Hugh George & Sandpiper - without you all, we could not be the great Club that we are!
An Equipment Auditors update seminar is on tonight at MHYC at 6.30pm - any existing auditors still interested in attending, please contact David Staley in the Sailing Office. A training seminar for new auditors will be held further in the year.
