MHYC E News 26th April, 2017
Welcome to MIDDLE HARBOUR YACHT CLUB's E-Newsletter
What a fabulous day and celebration of Anzac Day at the Club - 32 boats racing in the Two Up Cup followed by a lot of exuberance and heavy betting for the game of Two Up! The only day in the year when playing Two Up is legal! We were without our usual caller ie "ringer" as Mike Logan is currently sailing off the coast of Morocco, however VC Racing did a fantastic job and will be on call again for next year! Whilst playing Two Up is lots of fun, the "house" also receives a benefit with any winnings being donated to the Frank Likely Trust - resulting this year with a sum of $135.
Overall Anzac Day was a very busy day at the Club, great weather until late in the afternoon and we really appreciate the Members all supporting and attending the special Breakfast and Lunch offered on a day when the Harbourview would not normally be open. Thanks everyone!
Many of you by now would have met our new Sailing Manager, David Staley who started at the Club last Thursday, but you may not have heard the news that Roger Wragby has announced his resignation to take on a new role as Sailing Manager at RANSA. Whilst he will be no longer with us here at MHYC, we will no doubt still have lots of interaction and communication with Roger in the future. Roger's last day will be Saturday 6th May which coincides with the Club's Annual Presentation Night. Make sure you join us then for the celebration of all our season winners and a farewell to Roger.
