The Easter break was busy at the Club with both the Sandbar Cafe and Bistro open and many people enjoying the warm weather. This weekend begins with the monthly Kid's Disco on Friday night from 6pm - 8pm, so if you are looking to get the kid's together before going back to school, book into the disco! Tickets are $15 per child which includes a drink & snack - groups over 20, $10 per child. Call the Club on 02 9969 1244.
The MC38 One Design Regatta is being hosted by MHYC this weekend on Saturday and Sunday so there will be no MHYC keelboat racing. Saturday racing recommences with the Winter Series on 6th May, 2017 - entries are open.
Entries are open for the ANZAC Day Two Up Cup race on Tuesday 25th April, 2017, followed by Two Up games in the Bistro from approximately 4pm. We do, however, need a volunteer to run the Two Up games so if you or someone you know, understands the rules and can be our "Ringleader", please call Roger on 02 9969 1244. The Harbourview Bistro will be open for breakfast and lunch on Anzac Day, from 9am.
Yacht Sales Australia Wednesday Series 3 - Race 8 - 19th April, 2017
Race 8 of Series 3 for the 2016-17 season, will be held today Wednesday 19th April, 2017. Due to daylight saving having finished, please be aware that the handicaps are count up starting from 1300 hours.

Crew Member of the Year Award - Nominations Close this Saturday 22nd April 2017
The Crew Member of the Year Award is presented to an esteemed crew member, displaying the characteristics of a desirable MHYC Member, someone other crew members would aspire to emulate, and nominated from a yacht in a division of the Annual Pointscore during the 2016/17 season. The award will be presented at the Annual Prize Giving Presentaiton on 6th May, 2017.
If you know of a MHYC Member that you would like to nominate, please download the form here and hand to the Sailing Office. Nominations close 1800 hours on Saturday 22nd April, 2017.
ANZAC Two-Up Cup - Tuesday 25th April, 2017
MHYC's Feature Event, ANZAC Two-Up Cup, will be held on ANZAC Day, Tuesday 25th April, 2017. Handicapped Clubhouse start from 12.30 pm with games of Two-Up in the Main Bar following racing and the presentation.
Please note: the Harbourview Bistro will be open for breakfast on ANZAC Day from 9am so come in for a 'hearty breakfast' before racing!

MHYC Winter Series - begins Saturday 6th May, 2017
MHYC's Winter Series is held most Saturdays during Winter, including a 'short' series and sprint races. No racing is held over the June Long Weekend. First Warning Signal at 1155hrs, with a Post Race Presentation. Morning Sandbar BBQ will greet skippers and crew prior to racing and the Harbourview Bistro will be serving Post Race weekly Specials for Members and Guests to enjoy.

Sail a MELGES 20s during the Winter season!
The Melges 20s are available to sail during the winter season by club members. If you wish to do this, please contact Nicky Bethwaite to make arrangements, as there has been significant interest in doing this. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to sail one of these responsive assymetric keelboats, don't miss out, as they're great fun and very easy to handle.
If you're interested in purchasing a Melges 20, several are available. Contact Nicky for further information.
Youth Sailing - Easter Camps a huge success
The Easter Holiday camps have been a huge success and this week the Youth sailors have taken out the Melges 20s - the grins on their faces said it all when they came back in to the marina! Thank you to LJ Hooker Seaforth for their sponsorship of new life jackets for the kids - they all look very professional!

Sandbar Cafe - open 7 days a week
The Sandbar Cafe is open 7 days a week from 8am. Come down to the Club & enjoy our coffee and freshly made gourmet rolls. Refreshing smoothies, frappes and ice cream also available! Did you know that Brett actually makes all the yummy ice creams?? Great new flavours all the time!

2017 Annual Prize Presentation - 6th May 2017

Mother's Day at MHYC
Treat mum to breakfast or lunch at Middle Harbour Yacht Club on Mother's Day, Sunday 14th May, 2017. Enjoy the views over Middle Harbour from the Harbourview Bistro for either a Breakfast Buffet or special Mother's Day Lunch menu.

Sunday Sounds with Jay Parrino - Sunday 30th April, 2017
