David & Goliath - the DK 46 wins out!
Nine Dragons (Bob Cox), racing in last weeks Australian Yachting Championships in Div 1, recap their 4 days of racing in posts on their Facebook page. From Bob - "The last race was the cruncher, with Dragons taking first place beating Beau Geste by 12 seconds after surviving a mark rounding incident with The Goat, Dragons taking second overall in the series, a feat no one would think possible!"

Ascham Sailing Regatta - Eight of our youth sailing girls from Wenona participated in last weekend's Ascham Sailing Regatta. Racing was delayed 2 hours due to lack of wind, so they didn't get underway until 11.30am instead of starting at 9.30am. The team lost the first 3 races in a row, but ended up with 4 wins and 8 losses. The gold fleet sailed off first, followed by the silver fleet and then the bronze. After 2 races in the bronze final Wenona and Canberra were tied and had to sail a 3rd race to determine Wenona as the winner - congratulations & well done! Overall the team finished in ninth place - a great effort!
