MHYC had a fantastic week last week with 3 regattas being run - Int.J24 Australian Championships, Melges 24 NSW State Championships and finishing with the 420 Australian Championships on Monday. Many thanks to all our Race Management volunteers and everyone involved in making these regattas run so smoothly.
Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta 2011 - Entries are Now Open
Enter today to have a chance at winning an Audi! Entries are now open for the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta 4-7 March 2011.
This is MHYC's biggest event for the year and we look forward to seeing all yachts out on the race course. Entry is free to members entered in a MHYC Season Pointscore Series. To enter click here.

Australia Day Special at Seabreeze
Seabreeze will be open from 12pm to 6pm for Australia Day next Wednesday 26th January, 2011.
An Australia Day special of Succulent BBQ Roast Beef Fillet will be available as well as the current Seabreeze menu.

Ocean Pointscore Race 4 - Australia Day Regatta
A brief reminder that the next race for the MHYC Ocean Pointscore Series will be:
OPS Race 4: Wednesday 26 January 2011 (Australia Day), with the annual Botany Bay Race.
The warning signal for this race will be 1055hrs. Sailing Instructions as per CYCA Handbook.
SPECIAL NOTICE TO COMPETITORS:
MHYC OPS entrants will be entered into the CYCA OPS race 6 (included in your entry fee). Competitors who are intending to compete for the City of Sydney Cup requires a separate entry and race fee to be submitted. This can be done via the CYCA Website under Sailing, Ocean Pointscore, Australia Day City of Sydney Cup. For more information click here
The City of Sydney Cup is awarded to the yacht with the fastest corrected time on PHS for competitors who have paid the additional entry fee.
Annual Summer Pointscore Series - Race 1 - 29th January, 2011
Commences on Saturday 29 January. To enter click here. Competitors in the Adams 10 Division are advised that due to the Adams 10m Australian Championship in Lake Macquarie there shall be no race scheduled on this day.

MHYC “Dad’s Army” to Contest the Audi Docklands Invitation Race
Three MHYC boats are currently preparing to race in the Audi Victoria Week, the first series of the Audi IRC Australian Championships.
Three “Old Salty Sailors”, Rob Reynolds, Peter Sorensen (or Big Handsome Pete) and Gordon Ketelbey have combined forces and experience to race in the Audi Docklands Invitation race on the mighty Exile. MHYC Member, Annalise Gilbert is in the Bic Techno class and she will represent Australia from MHYC in the ISAF Youth World Championships in Crotia in June. Congratultions and well done!!

2011 PIF Charity Yachting Regatta
The Annual Property Industry Regatta is on 25 March 2011. An Invitation is extended to MHYC Boat owners to compete. The event raises funds to help homeless children. PIF would very much like yacht owners to donate their yachts for this charity day. If you would like PIF to source a company for you they are more than happy to do this.

Great Lakes Sailing Club
The Great Lakes Sailing Club in Forster is planning their regatta for the October long weekend in 2011 and invite all members to celebrate with them.
