Thursday 26th January 2017 - Happy Australia Day to everyone! In celebration of this special occasion, we are opening the Harbourview Room for BREAKFAST from 8am tomorrow - so come in and try our first breakfast menu! Harbourview will also be open for lunch from 12 noon, but not for dinner. Bring the family and friends down to the Club before heading out on the water to watch the Australia Day festivities. Race 7 of Series 2 for the 2016-17 season, will be held today Wednesday 25th January, 2017. Please be aware that the handicaps are count up starting from 1330 hours.

Thursday Twilight Series - Race 15, 2nd February, 2017
The Thursday Twilight series continues with Race 15 on 2nd February, 2017, with a count up handicap start from 6pm. Post racing presentation and the Bistro open for a meal - get the crew together, support the Club and celebrate after the race! To book a table at the Bistro, call 9969 1244 and book in your Boat name!

Chaos & Beldam Point Cups - Saturday 28th January, 2017
The popular Chaos & Bedlam Point Cup takes place on Saturday, with a Clubhouse count -up start from 1200hrs There are spinnaker and non-spinnaker divisions and the event incorporates Race 2 of the Sydney Jeanneau Cup.
You can still enter online if yoiu have not already done so - as soon as possoble please to enable us to finalise divisions and handicaps
We look forward to seeing you on the start line for our annual up-river marathon!
Youth Sailing - Term 1 Bookings Open Online
The Summer school holiday camps finish today with an astounding more than 100 youth sailors receiving competency certificates over the Holiday period! Well done and congratulations to everyone!

Harbourview Bar & Bistro - Open for Breakfast Australia Day as well as Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th January!
The Harbourview Bar & Bistro's menu is available online - click here for the current menu. Harbourview Bar & Bistro is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and Friday and Saturday for dinner, with daily specials. For all bookings, please call the MHYC office on 9969 1244.
Please note: the Harbourview Bistro will open for breakfast on Australia Day and Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th January, 2017, from 8am.
Australia Day at MHYC
The Sandbar cafe and Harbourview Bar & Bistro will be open on Australia Day, Thursday 26th January, 2017. Breakfast will be avilable from the Bistro from 8am through to 11am with lunch from 12 noon. Bookings are essential so call today to avoid disappointment on 9969 1244. The Harbourview Bistro will not be closed for Dinner on Australia Day.

Sunday Sounds with Rebecca Henry - Sunday 29th January, 2017
Join us at the Sandbar on Sunday 29 January from 2-5pm for some cruisy tunes with singer/songwriter Rebecca Henry. Rebecca is a singer songwriter whose style has flavours of rootsy pop, soul and alternative country. Come and relax by the beach with a cool drink whilst enjoying some live music.
Tickets on Sale for 2017 Barefoot Ball with Mental As Anything! - Saturday 18th February
MHYC's annual Barefoot Ball 2017 will be held on Saturday 18th February, 2017, from 7pm with live music from iconic Australian band, Mental As Anything. Ticket options are downstairs at $45 Members/$55 Non members on the beach or upstairs in the Bistro & balcony area for $70 Members/$80 non members. Food & beverage options will be available for purchase. An arrival drink is included in the ticket price. Dress is "Beach Chic" - smart/elegant beach wear.

On Water Volunteer Race Officials needed
We have two major events coming up - The Farr 40 State Championships on 11 & 12 February, and thye Sydney Harbour regatta on Friday to Sunday 3 to 5 March, For a variety of reasons some of our wonderful regular volunteers are not available and we need help on all of these days: if you are reasonably agile and comfortable on boats- or know someone who is and would like to help please contact roger@mhyc.com.au
