Yacht Sales Australia Wednesday Series 2 - Race 4 - 4th January, 2017
Race 4 of Series 2 for the 2016-17 season, will be held on Wednesday 4th January, 2017. Please be aware that the handicaps are count up starting from 1330 hours.

Thursday Twilight Series - Race 12, 5th January, 2017
MHYC's Twilight member night held last Thursday was a great success, albeit a wet one! Thank you to everyone for battling the wet weather and still coming along to enjoy the festive celebrations!
The Thursday Twilight series continues with the post Christmas races beginning with Race 12 on 5th January, 2017, with a count up handicap start from 6pm. Post racing presentation and the Bistro open for a meal or alternatively, enjoy barbeque food from The BBQ Cooking School, downstairs on the beach - get the crew together, support the Club and celebrate after the race! To book a table at the Bistro, call 9969 1244 and book in your Boat name!

Last Saturday saw over 20 boats entered for the Feature Event Race 4 of the Christmas Cup & Veterans Cup race - the last race at MHYC for 2016! Congratulations to the following:-

Squirrel Cup - Wednesday 21st December 2016
New to the MHYC calendar and an added fun race for the 2016 season - the Squirrel Cup, courtesy of Squirrel (aka Phil Chisholm). Non Spinnaker, count up clubhouse start from 2.30pm today Wednesday 21st December, 2016. Post racing 1980's BBQ on the Sandbar deck. Race entry $21. Two MHYC yachts competed in the CYCA Trophy Series, with some great results for MHYC boats. Congratulations!

MHYC Boats 1st & 2nd - Narrow Farr 40 One Design Trophy victory to Estate Master
Jeff Carter’s Edake and Martin Hill’s Estate Master staged a mighty final charge for supremacy in the deciding race of the Farr 40 Pittwater One Design Trophy, Estate Master’s fourth place to Edake’s sixth gifting them a narrow series victory.

Sandbar Cafe - open 7 days a week
The Sandbar Cafe is open 7 days a week from 8am. Come down to the Club & enjoy our coffee and freshly made gourmet rolls - the Sandbar will be open most days over the Christmas and New Year period so drop by for one of Brett's fresh rolls!

The Harbourview Bar & Bistro's menu is available online - click here for the current menu. Harbourview Bar & Bistro is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and Friday and Saturday for dinner. For all bookings, please call the MHYC office on 9969 1244.

Tickets on Sale for 2017 Barefoot Ball with Mental As Anything!
MHYC's annual Barefoot Ball 2017 will be held on Saturday 18th February, 2017, from 7pm with live music from iconic Australian band, Mental As Anything. Ticket options are downstairs at $45 Members/$55 Non members on the beach or upstairs in the Bistro & balcony area for $70 Members/$80 non members. Food & beverage options will be available for purchase. An arrival drink is included in the ticket price. Dress is "Beach Chic" - smart/elegant beach wear.

State and National Umpires Seminar - 28th & 29th January, 2017
Australian Sailing is offering a State and National Umpires Seminar at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron to be conducted on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th January 2017, from 09:00-17:00 with a registration fee of $75. A great opportunity to get certified or revalidated. To register - click here.
