MHYC E News 7th September 2016
Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter
Thankfully the rain kept away for MHYC's annual Opening Day last Saturday, however the westerley wind did come into play!! The morning was a great opportunity to thank all our wonderful volunteers for all their time, support and generosity. The waterslide was a big hit with the kids, along with the treasure hunt (thanks to Nic Morgan!). The number of boats in our sail past was a lot less than previous years with the wind being a big deterrent! Congratulations to Galan (Mike & Hilary Gallagher) winning best dressed crew, as family entertainers, The Wiggles, and Zeus Zeus (Laurie McAllister) winning best dressed boat, portraying "The Lion King".
Another successful Ladies Lunch was held last Thursday with a moving talk from Tim Elliott and entertaining cooking demonstration with Liz Chard. The final Ladies Lunch for 2016 will be held on Thursday 29th October, 2016, where the prize of a 3 night cruise around the Fijian Islands, courtesy of Captain Cook Cruises Fiji and Travel View, will be drawn. Details further in the newsletter.
