Hope all Members and their families had a relaxing Easter! Tomorrow night is the final race for the Twilight season and we are looking forward to seeing all of you dressed in your Hawaiian shirts (or skirts!) for our Hawaiian Twilight Member night. We have some great raffle prizes on offer as well as Hawaiian dancers! Stay around at the Club after the race to join in the fun!
Online bookings are open for the first of four Ladies Lunches for 2016. Our first speaker is Alexandra Joel, former editor of the Australian edition of Harper’s Bazaar and Portfolio magazines. She will be talking about her latest book, “Rosetta”, which is being released in April. Yacht Sales Australia Wednesday Series 3 - Race 5 - 30th March, 2016
Race 5 of Series 3 for the 2015-16 season, being held today Wednesday 30th March, 2016. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up starting from 1330 hours. It will revert to 1300 hours from next week, 6th April, 2016.

Thursday Twilight Series - Race 24 (Final Race) - 31st March, 2016 - Hawaiian Style!
Race 24 and the final race for the 2015/16 season will be held tomorrow Thursday 31st March, 2016, with a count up handicap Clubhouse start. We will be holding a Twilight Member night, Hawaiian style so remember to dress in your best Hawaiian shirt! Great prizes, Hawaiian pizza, fish & chips and Hawaiian dancers!

Ladies Lunches 2016 - Thursday 21st April - Guest Speaker - Alexandra Joel
The first of MHYC's Ladies Lunches for 2016 will be held on Thursday 21st April, 2016, from 12 noon. Our guest speaker will be Alexandra Joel, Alexandra Joel is the author of Best Dressed: 200 Years of Fashion in Australia and Parade: the Story of Fashion in Australia. Both books detail the development of fashion, style and national identity. She will be talking about her new release novel, Rosetta.

Annual Prize Giving Presentation - Saturday 7th May, 2016 - Book Online
MHYC's Annual Prize Giving Presentation will be held on Saturday 7th May, 2016, from 6.30pm for 7pm start. $25 per person includes arrival drink & canapes - book online here or call 99691244. Awards will be presented for all Club divisions in the Annual & Twilight series (1st, 2nd & 3rd) for the 2015/16 sailing season, as well as the annual special awards. Crew Member of the Year nomination forms are available from reception.
Magnetic Island Race Week - 1st - 6th September 2016
The 10th annual SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week will offer first-class racing on the crystal blue waters of Cleveland Bay from 1st September to 6th September 2016, following on from the Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island Race Weeks and is the finale of the Queensland Season of Sailing.
