MHYC E News 9th March, 2016
Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter.
Another spectacular Sydney Harbour Regatta was held on the weekend! Many thanks to all our sponsors, race management volunteers, and all who participated to make it such a success. The prize presentation was held on Monday night with some great prizes from Helly Hansen, Trina Solar, Robert Oatley Vineyards, Sydney City Marine, Travel View|Cruise View and Air New Zealand - without the support of our sponsors we could not run such a great regatta. Congratulations to all winners and placegetters and to the MHYC team of Khaleesi, JustADash & Nine Dragons winning the IRC InterClub Team Challenge!
For all press releases from the SHR and Boats on TV You Tube video of Day 1, please visit the SHR website.
A note from Karen Baldwin, General Manager MHYC - "The annual Sydney Harbour Regatta held last weekend was another very successful event for MHYC, and as has been mentioned many times, we owe so much thanks to our wonderful sponsors but also to three very special people who donated their boats and their time so that our sponsors had the opportunity to view the on-water racing in and around the Harbour in what were near perfect conditions. Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to Evan Rees and “Sir LunchaLot” who hosted Helly Hansen, to Rob Reynolds and “Sterling” who hosted Trina Solar and also to Mark Tucker and his crew Joel & Lindsay from Sundance Marine and his brand new magnificent “70’ Monte Carlo Yacht” which I had the great privilege to enjoy with sponsors from Club Marine, Sydney City Marine and others.Without each of their very generous contributions, these great days out on the water would not have been possible."
To all Marina occupants - Please be aware that on Sunday 13th March at 9pm to 9am the following morning, there will be a company working onsite to upgrade our power connections and boards to a new power pole. This will mean that all power to the Club and marina will be off from the same period. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

1. To perpetuate the memory of Frank Likely in view of his many years of outstanding voluntary service to yachting and Middle Harbour Yacht Club.
2. To assist Middle Harbour Yacht Club members and young sailors selected at the discretion of the Committee to compete in yacht and dinghy racing.
3. To make awards to outstanding persons who have contributed valuable services to the Middle Harbour Yacht Club and Australian Yachting in the Frank Likely Spirit.
