Good luck and fair winds to all Members competing in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and the Pittwater to Coffs Race over the Christmas/New Year. Wishing all our Members and their families a wonderful, safe Christmas and New Year!
Please note that there will be no keelboat racing at MHYC over the Christmas and New Year period and will recommence with Wednesday racing on 6th January, 2016.
Christmas Cup & Veterans Cup - Saturday 19th December, 2015
The next race in the Feature Event Series is the Christmas Cup and Veterans Cup being held this Saturday 19th December, 2015. A count up handicap start from the Clubhouse from 1230hrs and a course around the harbour. The Christmas Cup is open to all, with spinnaker and non spinnaker divisions.
Yachts that are 30 years old or more will be competing for the “Veterans Cup Perpetual Trophy”. Yachts and skippers who have a combined age of 90+ years can also compete for the “Old Fart’s Dogs Bowl Trophy”, initiated by Alex Whitworth.

Yacht Sales Australia Wednesday Series 2 - Race 3 - 16th December 2015
Race 3 of Series 2 for the 2015-16 season, being held today Wednesday 16th December, 2015. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up starting from 1330 hours.

Thursday Twilight Series - Race 11 - 17th December, 2015
Race 11 will be held tomorrow Thursday 17th December, 2015, being the final race for 2015, with a count up handicap Clubhouse start. Enter today! If you require a Cat 7, please contact Roger in the Sailing Office to arrange an audit at sailing-administrator@mhyc.com.au or on 02 9969 1244.

International Cadet Class National Championship - 27th December, 2015 - 4th Janaury, 2016
MHYC will be hosting the International Cadet Class National Championship from 27th December, 2015, through to 4th January, 2016. Competitors will be visiting from around Australia which will leave the Club very busy.
Kid's Christmas Disco - Friday 18th December, 2015
The last Kid's Disco for 2015 is on Friday 18th December, 2015, from 6pm - 8pm, being held on the Sandbar Deck. $10 per child (includes a drink & snack). There is also a rumour that there may be an appearance by a special guest!

School Holiday Kids Sailing Camps for December & January - Book Today
The first of MHYC's School Holiday Sailing Camps began on Monday 14th December followed by the 2nd week from Monday 21st December to Wednesday 23rd December, 2015. Great idea for a Christmas present! The School Holiday Kids Sailing Camps are for Tackers (7 - 12 year olds) and Learn to Sail Teenagers (13-18 year olds). For all information and bookings for December and January camps - click here.

The Frank Likely Trust and Middle Harbour Yacht Club would like to thank those members who donated towards the 9 new (much needed) Optis for Junior Sailing Program. The fleet of learn to sail Optis were gradually ageing due to heavy use since the initial purchase of 20 dinghies more than 5 years ago. Read More...
