Many thanks to our wonderful Volunteer Race Management team over the weekend of the Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championship for once again giving up their time to run some fantastic racing!
The Club's Christmas Dinner is being held this Friday 11th December, 2015 from 6pm in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro with a 3 course dinner and a drink on arrival included in the price ($48 per person MHYC Members and $53 per person Non Members). Race 2 of Series 2 for the 2015-16 season, being held today Wednesday 9th December, 2015. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up starting from 1330 hours.

Thursday Twilight Series - Race 10 - 10th December, 2015
Race 10 will be held tomorrow Thursday 10th December, 2015, with a count up handicap Clubhouse start. Enter today! If you require a Cat 7, please contact Roger in the Sailing Office to arrange an audit at sailing-administrator@mhyc.com.au or on 02 9969 1244.

Christmas Cup & Veterans Cup Saturday 19th December, 2015
The next race in the Feature Event Series is the Christmas Cup and Veterans Cup being held on Saturday 19th December, 2015. A count up handicap start from the Clubhouse from 1230hrs and a course around the harbour. The Christmas Cup is open to all, with spinnaker and non spinnaker divisions.
Yachts that are 30 years old or more will be competing for the “Veterans Cup Perpetual Trophy”. Yachts and skippers who have a combined age of 90+ years can also compete for the “Old Fart’s Dogs Bowl Trophy”, initiated by Alex Whitworth.

We look forward to this opportunity of meeting new members personally, introducing you to our Flag Officers & Directors, and providing important information about Club activities - whether it be racing, cruising, youth sailing or just socialising!
Kid's Christmas Disco - Friday 18th December, 2015
The last Kid's Disco for 2015 is on Friday 18th December, 2015, from 6pm - 8pm, being held on the Sandbar Deck. ($10 per child (includes a drink & snack). There is also a rumour that there may be an appearance by a special guest!

School Holiday Kids Sailing Camps for December & January - Book Today
The first of MHYC's School Holiday Sailing Camps begins on Monday 14th December through to Thursday 17th December, 2015, followed by the 2nd week from Monday 21st December to Wednesday 23rd December, 2015. Great idea for a Christmas present! The School Holiday Kids Sailing Camps are for Tackers (7 - 12 year olds) and Learn to Sail Teenagers (13-18 year olds). Documentary Series - Looking for Cast
A premiere Australian film and television company contacted us as they have been commissioned by a major television network to make a documentary series and they are looking for outspoken and adventurous people who are up for a challenge to take part. The shoot dates aren't confirmed but it will be for ten days sometime in July/ August 2016 and there is a fee.
