Sydney City Marine Leading Edge Series - Race 4 - Saturday 19th August, 2015
Race 4 of the Sydney City Marine Leading Edge Series Pointscore will be held on Saturday 19th August, 2015. This is a 5 race series and a perfect lead up to the opening of the pointscore season. Handicap count up start from 1230 hours. Clubhouse start and finish.

Race 12 of Series 4 for the 2014-15 season, will be held today, Wednesday 19th August, 2015. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up starting from 1300 hours.

Annual Skippers Briefing - Friday 28th August, 2015
MHYC's annual Skipper's Briefing will be held on Friday 28th August, 2015, in the Harbourview Room, at 6.30pm for 7pm start. This is a mandatory briefing for all MHYC skippers competing in the Club's annual race events for the 2015/16 season.
Crew Meet & Greet Night - following the Skippers Briefing
Are you looking for crew for this season or are you crew looking to get onboard a boat? On Friday 28th August, 2015, following the Skipper's Briefing, we will be holding a Crew Meet and Greet in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro from 7.45pm. Please contact the Sailing Office to register.
MHYC Opening Day & Sail Past - Saturday 5th September, 2015
The start of the 2015/16 season is fast approaching - join us for the Club's Opening Day and Sail Past to be held on Saturday 5th September, 2015, followed by the first feature event, Commodore's Front Up Cup Race. The theme for this year is "Here Comes the Sun" - your chance to dress up your crew and boat and join in the fun of Opening Day. Sail Past begins at approximately 12 noon.
Commodore's Front Up Cup Race - Saturday 5th September, 2015
The first of the 2015/16 season's feature events is the Commodore's Front Up Cup race, to start after the Opening Day Sail Past, at 12.30pm. Handicap Clubhouse start and finish. All boats entered in an annual pointscore or Twilight series will get FREE entry to MHYC Feature Events (please enter online). Bring your family and friends along for a relaxed sail on Sydney Harbour.

Membership Renewals for 2015/16 Season - Membership expires 31st August, 2015
Please be reminded that memberships expire on 31st August, 2015. Thank you to all those who have already renewed their membership for the 2015/16 season and to those who have also contributed to the building levy to help raise funds to maintain our Club. Your new membership cards will be posted to you. Please note that if you wish to pay online through our Member's Logon portal, log on using your membership number and first 4 digits of your birthday (eg.10 June is 1006), go to "My Account", then click on "Make a Payment". Choose "Membership account" and add amount noted on your renewal notice and continue to payment. (Please note that your invoice amount will not appear in your account). Frank Likely Trust Campaign for MHYC Youth Sailing Future
Youth sailing is the key to the future success for Middle Harbour Yacht Club. Weekends are spent with a full beach of young sailors learning to sail however, the current Optimist Fleet is ageing and requires replacing. Youth Sailing, in conjunction with the Frank Likely Trust is driving a campaign to replace the Club’s current Opti Fleet with 10 new boats by summer to ensure that Middle Harbour Yacht Club creates future champion sailors and life long members.

Ladies Lunch at MHYC - Not to be Missed - Last Chance to Book!

The third of MHYC's four Ladies Lunches will be held tomorrow Thursday 20th August, 2015, from 12 noon. Two guest speakers will be speaking on their experiences - Dr Fran Black, who will be talking about her book, "My Retirement Gap Year", on adapting to retirement. Our second speaker will be Karen Chaston, talking about her books, "Beyond a Mother's Worst Nightmare" and "A Journey to Becoming Your Own Best Friend."

Notice to all Members and Guests - the Sandbar Cafe is open 7 days a week from 8am. There is a variety of selections from gourmet rolls, quiches, toasties, pies to sweet treats of brownies, cookies, muffins, caramel slice. Relax by the beach with a coffee or a glass of wine while enjoying the view!
Harbourview Bar & Bistro is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights.

Father's Day at MHYC
Treat Dad to a breakfast buffet at Middle Harbour Yacht Club for Father's Day on Sunday 6th September, 2015. The Bistro will be open for the buffet between 8.30am - 10.30am. $28 MHYC Members/$32 Non Members $14 child 3-15 years (under 3 years – free), and includes glass of bubbly (or beer, if preferred!).
