 Sydney City Marine Winter Series Pointscore - Race 6 - Saturday 20th June, 2015
This Saturday, 20th June, 2015, the SCM Winter Series will consist of two Sprint races and the usual full and short series competitors will be joined by Farr 40's. There will also be an MC38 Winter Regatta running alongside the Sprints which will mean some amendments to the Sailing Instructions set out in a Notice to Competitors, which has been emailed to all involved. Further copies will be avaialble from the Sailing Office.

Race 3 of Series 4 for the 2014-15 season, will be held today, Wednesday 17th June, 2015. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is from 1300 hours.

Get Checked Weekend Success
Many thanks to our wonderful volunteer auditors - Bill Allen, Steve White, Phil Clinton, Phil Yeomans, Mike McEvoy, Phil Darling, Trevor D'Alton, Paul Wotherspoon, Peter Lewis, Evan Hodge who completed safety checks on over 40 boats last weekend, as well as another 7 the previous weekend at the Cruising Division long weekend raft up. A great effort!
 MHYC Sailing Handbook - Advertising Space Now Available for 2015/16 Season Edition
There is a limited opportunity to advertise your product or sevice in the MHYC Sailing Handbook, the 2015/16 Season edition of which will be published in August 2015. The artwork deadline is 10 July 2015.
MHYC members cover a wide spectrum of professions and interests not only in boating but also in the legal, financial, and property areas among many others.

Mosman Council Spit Foreshore Parking Permits 2015/16
Mosman Council, once again, will be offering a 50% discount to MHYC Members when purchasing an annual 7 day Spit Foreshore Parking Permit (valid for the East and West car parks) for 2015/16. The 50% discount of $170 will only be applicable once 100+ Members have taken up the offer and received by Council as one transaction. Permits can now be purchased online through the MHYC website. Bookings will close on Monday 29th June, 2015, to allow time to be processed and permits issued. Late applications will not receive the 50% discount.

Annual General Meeting - Call for Nominations
MHYC's Annual General Meeting will be held at the Clubhouse on Thursday 16th July, 2015, from 7pm. Call for Nominations for Directors and Flag Officers are now open and in accordance with the Constitution of Middle Harbour Yacht Club will close at 5pm on Wednesday 24th June 2015. Mobile App for MHYC
MHYC Member, Harry Brigden, has been working on a mobile app for Middle Harbour Yacht Club. The app will be available to download to android and iphones and it is the hope to show a calendar of racing, results, courses, upcoming events, and newsletters.
It is still in the designing process so please provide feedback to Harry at harryb@propertyis.com.au, with any suggestions.

 Frank Likely Trust Campaign for MHYC Youth Sailing Future
Youth sailing is the key to the future success for Middle Harbour Yacht Club. Weekends are spent with a full beach of young sailors learning to sail however, the current Optimist Fleet is ageing and requires replacing. Youth Sailing, in conjunction with the Frank Likely Trust is driving a campaign to replace the Club’s current Opti Fleet with 30 new boats by summer to ensure that Middle Harbour Yacht Club creates future champion sailors and life long members.
