Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter. Thank you to all those who battled the weather, once again, to come down to the Club to participate the ANZAC Two Up Cup race and a game of Two Up last Saturday.  $400 was raised for the Frank Likely Trust which is fantastic and couldn't have been achieved without the voice and direction of our "boxer", Mike Logan - thanks Mike! Notice to Members - Storm Damage to Plumbing

Due to the recent storm last week, the plumbing to the downstairs bathrooms has been affected and has caused the closure of the men's and women's toilets.  The showers are still accessible and in working order.  As a temporary measure, portable toilets have been brought in and are situated at the beginning of A Arm on the marina. Both bathrooms upstairs are open and operational. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding during this time while the damage is assessed and rectified.

Term 2 bookings are now open for Tackers and Learn to Sail. Begins Sunday 26th April, 2015. Please note: Adventure Squad for term 2 begins Saturday 2nd May.

Annual Prize Giving Presentation - Saturday 9th May, 2015

The Annual Prize Giving Presentation will be held in the Harbourview Room on Saturday 9th May, 2015, at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.  $25 per person, includes arrival drink and finger food. Bring the crew along to celebrate the end of the 2014/15 season.

Mother's Day at MHYC - Sunday 10th May, 2015

Treat your mum to a seafood and carvey buffet at MHYC on Mother's Day in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro.  MHYC Members $70, non members $75, kids under 14, $35 and kids under 3, free.  Price includes arrival drink, choice of seafood and hot/cold carvery, salads, vegetables & dessert.  Bookings essential as seating limited - call 9969 1244 to reserve your table. Get Checked Weekend - 13th & 14th June, 2015

MHYC's annual Get Checked Weekend and YAC special Regulations Audits will be held on the 13th & 14th June, 2015. This weekend allows Club Members the perfect opportunity to have their boats audited prior to the new sailing season commencing. Members are encouraged, each year, to make their own pre-arrangements for services required, as they may be limited during the Get Checked Weekend. Bookings for an equipment audit are to be arranged directly through the MHYC Sailing Office.

Ladies Luncheon - No.2 - Thursday 18th June

After the success of our first Ladies Lunch, save the date for the second of four Ladies Lunches. The next one to be held on Thursday 18th June, 2015, from 12 noon.  Guest speaker will be Lynda Dyer, International Best Selling Author of “Make It Happen Now” and “Good Grief Book”, as well as founder of Mind Power Global.  $55 Members, $60 Non members for arrival drink, 2 course lunch and tea or coffee.  To book, call the office on 9969 1244.

Sandbar Cafe - open 7 days a week

Notice to all Members and Guests - the Sandbar Cafe is open 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm.  Relax by the beach with a coffee and gourmet roll!  Also available - ice creams, milkshakes, pies, sausage rolls, toasties, friands, muffins etc. Soup coming for Winter!

Island Escape Cruises - Cruise to the Bay of Islands

Join fellow members and friends of Middle Harbour Yacht Club on a Cruise to the Bay of Islands in New Zealand, departing for 6 Nights from 23rd January to 30th January 2016.

2015 Equipment Auditor Course - 23rd May, 2015

In preparation for the upcoming MHYC Get Checked Weekend (see above), Yachting NSW are holding an Equipment Auditor course on Saturday 23rd May, 2015, at Watson's Bay Pilot Station. This course is for new auditors and upon completion will allow you to assist MHYC Members with their Cat 3-7 equipment audits.
