Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter. The first of the Junior Sailing Holiday camps have begun this week, with another 4 day camp next week for the school holidays.  There are places still available and with this beautiful weather, the perfect way to entertain the kids.

Sydney City Marine Winter Series - Race 7

Wednesday Series 4 supported by Inner Circle Rum

Race 4 of Series 4 for the 2013-14 season was abandoned last Wednesday due to the high winds so everyone is eager to get out there today, Wednesday 2nd July, 2014, for Race 5. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1300 hours. Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

Sailing Office releases ‘Schedule of Races’ for the 2014 - 2015 Season

The MHYC Sailing Office has now released the dates of racing for next season, highlights include;
- A new revamped program for IRC boats to be known as the Premier Series
- 7 Feature Events including a bonus race with the Manly Yacht Club for ‘Block Entrants’
- A revised Club Short Series program to provide a more competitive fleet/division for competitors

The Membership Renewal Notices for the 2014/15 season are being posted to Members this week.  Many thanks to our wonderful volunteers, Tig Thomas, John Howard, Rob Ogilvie & John Needham, for their folding and stuffing of envelopes!  Online renewals are also available through the MHYC website - click here.

MHYC Food & Beverage Survey

It has been nearly two years since the owners of Cala Luna took over the provision of food services on the premises of MHYC, and we would like to know your feedback. Having satisfied customers is absolutely critical but also to ensure the overall food & beverage provided is meeting our members’ expectations.

Commodore’s Ball – Celebrate in Style - Friday 12th September, 2014 - Online Bookings Open

Bookings are open for MHYC's Commodore’s Ball to be held on Friday 12th September 2014 from 7pm.  You can book a table of 10 or individually.  Please note that the Payway option for credit card payment is Westpac's payment system.

Mosman Foreshore Parking - The Spit - 50% discount offer available now - only for a short time!

Mosman Council has advised that the current foreshore parking stickers expiry date have been extended to 20th July. Mosman Council has also advised that to receive the 50% discount, we can only send them details for 100+ stickers in a batch.  Therefore we need every Member who is intending to purchase a parking sticker to do so now otherwise the discount reduces to 30% for the next 50 and decreases from there. We have currently another 40 stickers to go to reach the first 100. Online purchases for the 2014/15 stickers at a 50% discount are now available.  This offer is only valid once 100 tickets have been purchased and only available to MHYC current Members (excluding Youth Members).  The cost to Members is $160.  Click here to purchase your parking sticker.

Notice is hereby given that the 74th Annual General Meeting of Members of Middle Harbour Yacht Club will be held in the Clubhouse, Lower Parriwi Road, The Spit, Mosman, NSW 2088 on Thursday 24th July 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Harbourview Room.

Official Christening of "Amazing Grace" by The Hon Mike Baird MP at MHYC!

Please join us on Friday 11th July at 12.45 pm for 1.00pm for the "champagne over the bow" naming ceremony of the 34ft Hanse Yacht - grand prize in the Amazing Grace Yacht Raffle, in support of Sailors with disABILITIES, at MHYC.  The Hon Mike Baird MP will be officially christening the yacht, "Amazing Grace".
