Note to Members:- We are trialling new opening hours for the Sandbar & Cafe, which will now be open from 2.30pm until 6pm on Fridays. Please support the Club and join us for a Friday drink!

Series 4 for the 2013-14 season continues today with Race 2, Wednesday 11th June, 2014. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1300 hours. Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

Get Checked Weekend - 14th & 15th June - Bookings Now Open

The annual "Get Checked" weekend will be held this weekend on 14th & 15th June, 2014.  Bookings are filling fast, be sure to secure a time to have your YA Special Regulations Audit conducted before the new sailing season gets under way. Contact the Sailing Office to arrange a booking.

Fire Extinguisher Servicing: Saturday 14 June, 8am – 2pm

Graeme Segdman will be in the car park providing Fire Extinguisher Servicing as part of the Get Checked Weekend. Please be aware of the above stated times to avoid disappointment.

Expired Flare Disposal: Saturday 14 June, 10am – 12pm

NSW RMS Boating Safety Officer Warwick Scott will be on hand in the Sandbar to accept any Expired Flares as part of the Get Checked Weekend. Come down and say hello and drop off your expired flares in the RMS receptacle bins.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to OHS standards, under no circumstances can MHYC or its Staff accept any Expired Flares. Disposal is strictly during the above stated times and in the RMS receptacle bins provided.

Sailing Office releases ‘Schedule of Races’ for the 2014 - 2015 Season

The MHYC Sailing Office has now released the dates of racing for next season, highlights include;
- A new revamped program for IRC boats to be known as the Premier Series
- 7 Feature Events including a bonus race with the Manly Yacht Club for ‘Block Entrants’
- A revised Club Short Series program to provide a more competitive fleet/division for competitors

Watch the Socceroos Live on the Big Screen 8am 14th June

The Socceroos World Cup campaign begins this Saturday 14th June, 2014, with game 1 Vs. Chile at 8am live on the big screen.  Come down to the Club and cheer them on! 
Bacon & egg rolls, coffee, tea, muffins available from the Sandbar & Cafe.

State of Origin - Game 2 - NSW Vs Qld - Wednesday 18th June

Live on the big screen in the Harbourview Room.  Kick off 8am. Complimentary hotdogs at half time. The bistro will be open prior to the game.

Mosman Foreshore Parking - The Spit - 50% discount offer available now!

With the Mosman Council Foreshore (The Spit) Parking stickers due to expire at the end of June, we are now able to offer MHYC Members the opportunity to purchase the 2014/15 stickers at a 50% discount.  This offer is only valid once 100 tickets have been purchased and only available to MHYC current Members.  The cost to Members is $160.  Click here to purchase your parking sticker.

Kid's Disco & Karaoke

The next Kid's Disco & Karaoke, with Bop Till You Drop,  will be held on Friday 20th June, 2014, from 6pm-8pm, in the Quarterdeck room.  $10 per child (includes snack & drink).

Cruising Division Life Memberships

Like to get more use and enjoyment from your boat after racing round the buoys?
Why not think about joining the Cruising Division of your Club.
For a small once only fee, the Cruising Division offers Life Membership (of the Cruising Division) to MHYC members with on water events and cruises suitable for the family, often designed to enhance seamanship and safety techniques. Enjoy swapping maintenance tips while honing safety and navigation skills.
The Cruising Division meets 7:30 pm every 3rd Monday in the upstairs Bar (bring your own BBQ before) with monthly Speakers presentations. So come along for you are assured of a genuine welcome.
