Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter. Anzac Day was a successful day at the Club with Two Up games after the race - many thanks to MHYC's Sailing Manager, Andrew Phillips, for co-ordinating and running the games, with proceeds going to the Frank Likely Trust. Well done Andrew!

Anzac Two Up Cup Results

The Anzac Two Up Cup was held at MHYC last Friday 25th April, 2014. Congratulations to Div 1 and Div 2 winners, The Philosophers Club (Peter Sorensen) and Farr 'N' Away (Chris Lee).

Wednesday Series 3 supported by Inner Circle Rum

Series 3 for the 2013-14 season continues today with Race 9, Wednesday 30th April, 2014. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1300 hours. Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

Happenings at the Club this Week

Winter is around the corner so you would expect things to slow down a bit at the Club....but no.  Tomorrow, Flying Fish is holding a Corporate regatta for OAMPS Insurance from the Club,  and on Friday the Young Presidents Orgnisation will be holding their regatta and post race entertainment from the Club.  SCM Winter Series begins on Saturday and Junior Sailing begins for Term 2 on Sunday.

MHYC Annual Prizegiving Cocktail Party - 10th May 2014

The Club's Annual Prizegiving Cocktail Party will be held on Saturday 10th May, 2014, at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start in the Harbourview Bar.  All 1st, 2nd & 3rd placegetters will be announced so bring along your crew for a celebration.
$20 per person (inc. arrival drink & canapes).  Dress - smart/casual. Supported by United Cellars. Great lucky door prizes!

Commodore’s Ball – Celebrate in Style…Friday 12th September, 2014

MHYC will host the Commodore’s Ball on Friday 12th September 2014 that will celebrate the Club’s proud 75 Years of sailing and marine activities and the outstanding achievements by its Members. A “Black Tie” event, it will be an evening to be long remembered by Members, their Families and Friends with a 3 course meal, dancing the night away and other entertainment. Numbers will be limited to around 160 guests so lock in the date and get your table together. Further details and booking information will be provided in coming weeks.

Annual General Meeting - Save the Date!

MHYC's Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 24th July, 2014, from 7pm. Life, Full, Sailing, Sailing Under 30 elegible to vote.
