Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Race - Multihull March to Mooloolaba

In one week a small group of multihull owners will mark a new chapter in the history of the Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Race, once a major offshore event on the Australian calendar.
At the traditional start time of 1pm on a Wednesday, this time on April 9, Sean Langman’s record-busting ORMA 60 trimaran BOQ Team Australia should lead the charge out of Sydney Harbour as it seeks the trophy treble.

Anzac Two Up Cup - Friday 25th April

The Anzac Two Up Cup will be held at MHYC on Friday 25th April, 2014, with a Clubhouse count up start from 1230 hrs.  Join us post race in the Harbourview Bar and Bistro for a fun game (or two!) of Two Up.

Wednesday Series 3 supported by Inner Circle Rum

Series 3 for the 2013-14 season continues today with Race 5, Wednesday 2nd April, 2014. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1330 hours. Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

Saturday Pointscore

There will be no Saturday Pointscore for the duration of April due to various offshore races, Easter and the Anzac Day Long Weekend.
The Winter Series begins on Saturday 3rd May, 2014.

Crew Member of the Year Nominations

It's that time of year again - nominations are open for Crew Member of the Year for 2013/14.  This award is presented to an esteemed crew member, displaying the characteristics of a desirable MHYC Member, someone other crew members would aspire to emulate, and nominated from a yacht competing in a Series at MHYC of the Annual Pointscore Program 2013/2014.  If you feel one of your crew deserves this award, please complete the nomination form and return to the Sailing Office.  Nominations close 1800 hours on Saturday 5th April, 2014. 

MHYC Annual Prizegiving Cocktail Party - 10th May 2014

Save the date!  The Club's Annual Prizegiving Cocktail Party will be held on Saturday 10th May, 2014.

More details to follow in the coming weeks.

A very successful 420/470 NSW State Championships was held at MHYC over the weekend of 29th & 30th March, 2014.  A report will follow next week.

Commodore’s Ball – Celebrate in Style…Friday 12th September, 2014

MHYC will host the Commodore’s Ball on Friday 12th September 2014 that will celebrate the Club’s proud 75 Years of sailing and marine activities and the outstanding achievements by its Members. A “Black Tie” event, it will be an evening to be long remembered by Members, their Families and Friends with a 3 course meal, dancing the night away and other entertainment. Numbers will be limited to around 160 guests so lock in the date and get your table together. Further details and booking information will be provided in coming weeks.
