Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter. The Police & Emergency Services Games Regatta has been held at the Club for the last three days and the Property Industry Foundation Regatta will be on this Friday 21st March and the Redlands Barefoot Ball on Saturday evening - a busy week at MHYC!
Please note that the Harbourview Bar & Bistro will be closed for lunch on Friday and closed for dinner on both Friday and Saturday night.

Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Race - Entries Open

After nearly a decade absent from Australia’s major bluewater calendar, the Sydney to Mooloolaba Yacht Race is back, with a twist. Sydney’s Middle Harbour Yacht Club and Queensland’s Mooloolaba Yacht Club have reunited as organisers and revived the Category 2 passage race. But there’s a twist.

For the first time the once popular race will be open to eligible monohull and multihull entries.

Wild Oats Thursday Twilights - 20th March, 2014

The Wild Oats Thursday Twilight Series continues with Race 22 tomorrow Thursday 20th March, 2014. This is the second last pointscore race in the Series with the final race being on 27th March 2014.

Series 3 for the 2013-14 season continues today with Race 3, Wednesday 19th March, 2014. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1330 hours. Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

Hunn Casts Voodoo Magic Winning The 2014 Melges 32 Australian Titles

The Middle Harbour Yacht Club race committee did well to keep all sailors safe on Sunday after a lighting, rain and hail storm cell came through the Harbour just after midday. The committee were unable to get a race in for day three of the 2014 Melges 32 Australian Championships.

Twilight Member Night - Thursday 27th March, 2014

The last Twilight Member Night for the 2013/14 season will be held on Thursday 27th March after the final race for the season. $5 per person for food, raffles, prizes, tastings. Get the crew together for a final farewell to the Twilights for another year!

Marine Rescue Open Day

Marine Rescue Middle Harbour will hold their Open Day on 22nd March from 10am - 3pm.

Pampur Regatta - 24th - 31st May 2014

Senior member Darryl Coombs and his crew of "Pirates" won the XIth Pampur Dubrovnik Regatta in October 2013.
The Pampur Regatta is scheduled every May and October on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, with about 20 yachts (of 43' to 50') competing during a week of cruising and racing around the historic islands, and dining on fabulous Adriatic Seafood.
The next regatta is on 24 -31 May and MHYC will again be represented by Darryl.

New Delphia 34’ – Member’s Opportunity

As you would be aware, we at Yacht Sales Australia on the MHYC Marina are the Australian & New Zealand agents for Delphia Yachts Poland. Delphia have just released several new models and are keen for us to display, in particular their new D34' yacht at the forthcoming Sydney Boat Show in August.
