 A Defibrillator coming to MHYC Soon
We are delighted to advise Members that through the generosity of one of our very good members, MHYC will have its own Defibrillator installed at a much earlier date than we ever envisaged possible.
Following discussion at a recent Sailing Committee meeting that such a facility should be available for member / public use at the Club, and their subsequent recommendation to the Board it was agreed that we should purchase and install such a unit as soon as funds could be made available.

MHYC Yachts in the Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race
The race was a slow one with light winds, but the finish was exciting with the maxi Wild Thing, now listed as a MHYC entry though its new owner, new MHYC Member David Price, taking line honours from Lahana, by just 5 minutes after 2 days racing. Lahana’s Navigator was MHYC’s Carl Crafoord. Steven Proud’s Swish was 14th over the line, with Bob Cox’s Nine Dragons, 17th and Grant Dawson & Brent Lawson’s Kerisma, 19th. Mortgage Choice Rumba had to retire because of time constraints in the slow race. Nine Dragons was the only MHYC boat with a podium finish with a third place in IRC Division 2. Congratulations to all.

Advertising space in the 2013/14 Sailing Handbook is now available. Please contact Alister Copley at alister@mhyc.com.au, for rates and more details. The new edition of the Sailing Handbook is currently in production and will be available to Members at the end of August for the new sailing season.
Notice to Boat Owners
We will shortly be preparing the 2013-2014 MHYC Sailing Handbook for publication, and this will include the Member’s Boat Register.
The MHYC Boat Register is a list of boats owned by current Life, Full Adult, or Senior Members. If your vessel was listed in the last handbook and there have been no changes it will appear again as before: if your vessel was not listed and you would like it to be, or if you have acquired a new vessel or sold your current one, please let us have the appropriate details so that the new listing is as accurate and up to date as possible.
