Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter. It was a huge couple of days last weekend with the East Coast Championships.  Thank you to all our volunteers and race management for their assistance in making the regatta a success.
Discounted Mosman Council car parking stickers are now available for online purchase at $140 each (normally $260). Please note that Junior members are not eligible to purchase stickers.  Parents will be required to become a Member of the Club to receive the member benefit of the discounted sticker.

Mosman Council Car Parking Stickers for 2013/14 Now Available - 40 stickers already purchased in the 1st week!

We are pleased to advise that Mosman Council has adopted the proposed fee for car parking in the Spit Foreshore areas for the 2013/2014 period, beginning 1st July 2013 through to 30th June 2014. MHYC Members can now receive a 50% discounted fee of $140 per sticker.  This will only apply once 100 people have taken up the offer with payment being made online through MHYC. Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 19th July, 2013, from 7.00pm, in the Harbourview Room of Middle Harbour Yacht Club.  All welcome. Voting Members only eligilbe to vote.

Wednesday Series 4

Series 4 for the 2012-13 season, race 2 for the Series today, Wednesday 12th June, 2013.  Entries are open online - click here.   Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is now from 1300 hours.  Raffle tickets will be selling post race for the fantastic Meat Tray.

Sydney City Marine Winter Series

Race 6 of Middle Harbour Yacht Club’s Sydney City Marine Winter Series will be held on Saturday 22nd June, 2013.

Get "Checked" Weekend - 15th & 16th June 2013 - Book Now!

MHYC will run its Get "Checked" Weekend this weekend on Saturday 15th June and Sunday 16th June, 2013. The initiative is to get boats audited under the new Special Regulations (revised every 4 years) in preparation for the major races and regattas in the Winter and Queensland racing season. Fire Extinguisher Servicing

MHYC has organised Graeme Sedgeman of Sedgman Fire to be at the Club to service Member's fire extinguishers. The dates and times are as follows:-

Saturday 21st September 8am - 2pm

East Coast Championships 2013

The East Coast Championships were held at Middle Harbour Yacht Club last weekend with over 80 boats entered. With the winds fairly calm on Saturday, 7 races were sailed. Sunday saw similar conditions until around midday when the weather finally showed some signs of blowing. There were some tight finishes and protests after racing on Sunday and many happy faces back at the Club enjoying a well earned sausage sizzle and hot chocolate.

MHYC will be running Tackers & Learn to Sail holiday camps this coming July school holidays, for one week only. Dates as follows:-

Adventure Time at MHYC

With the beautiful weather this Autumn, the MHYC Juniors Adventure Squad has been putting some serious miles under its belt. With destinations achieved so far ranging from Parsley Bay in Vaucluse, Spring Cove in Manly and Quakers Hat Point up Middle Harbour.

Kid's Disco & Karaoke

The monthly kid's disco and karaoke will be held on Friday 21st June, 2013, from 6.00pm - 8.00pm in the Quarterdeck Room.  Cost is $10 per child (includes snack & drink).  Bring the kids to the Club for 2 hours of singing and dancing with Bop Till You Drop.  Stay for a drink or a bite to eat in the Bistro.  For bookings, please call reception on 9969 1244.

Come & See Us at the Mini-Mos

The Mini-Mos Community Fun Run and Fair will be held this Sunday 16th June, 2013, and MHYC will be a stall holder at the community fair. The fair will be held in the grounds of Mosman Public School and features rides and activities for kids of all ages, live music, a range of stallholders from the local community, a café, BBQ, sushi stall, and an abundance of home-made cakes and goodies.  MHYC's stall will primarily be promoting Junior Sailing, as well as all other aspects of the Club. Seniors Lunch - Sunday 21st July, 2013

Invitiations have been sent to MHYC Members who have been a Member of the Club for 20 years+, inviting them to our annual Senior's Lunch, being held in Cala Luna on sunday 21st July, 2013, from 12 noon.  Our special guest speaker this year will be Gordon (Wingnut) Ingate.  Seats are limited so please send in your booking form or click here to pay online.

Kayak Storage at MHYC
