Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter.  

The 2013 Barefoot Ball was a huge success last Saturday night.  It was great to see so many "Mexicans" enjoying themselves on the beach, dance floor and later on the disco floor!  Many thanks for all those who shared in a wonderful Club event and to those you helped make it such a success! 2013 Sydney Harbour Regatta 9th & 10th March

Entries are still coming in for the 2013 Sydney Harbour Regatta.  With what is shaping up to be a fantastic weekend not only for sailing, but the Wolverines will be playing live at the Club on Sunday 10th March from 4.30pm.  There will also be a Helly Hansen fashion parade and the prize draw of a fantastic Hamilton Island holiday - the winner must be present at the Club to receive the prize.

Summer Pointscore Series

The Summer Pointscore Series continues with Race 4 for the Open Division and Race 3 for Inshore divisions on Saturday 16th February, 2013.

Beach BBQ & Harbourview Bar & Bistro Open for Twilights

The delicious menu offerings for the Twilight Series will again consist of either casual meals from the BBQ ranging in price from $7 to $12, from green chicken curry & rice, vegetable curry, or beef burger, to a Twilight bistro menu in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro.  Bookings are essential for the Bistro. Please call 9969 1244 to book a table.

Series 2 for the 2012-13 season, Race 10 today, Wednesday 13th February, 2013,  Entries are open for Series 2 online - click here. Please be reminded that the handicaps are count up and also handicap start is from 1330 hours.

Junior Sailing Term 1, 2013 - Sold Out

Junior Sailing has been inundated with bookings for Term 1 and all tackers and Learn to Sail are now full.  Bookings for the Easter Holiday Camps will be available online this week.  Click here for online bookings and more information.

MHYC Centreboard Sailing – Going Gangbusters for Term 1

The MHYC Centreboard division is close to 300 members with many of those registered for Term 1. Sundays at the Club are busier than ever with over 150 kids actively involved in centreboard sailing across the full range of programs from Tacker zero (4-6 yr olds) to Race Squads in 420 and Optimists.

Sailing Clinic - New Racing Rules - Wednesday 27th February, 2013

Quantum’s Carl Crafoord will present an evening seminar on the new Racing Rules.
Carl has a wealth of experience including 26 Sydney to Hobarts (winning 4 as navigator), 9 Admirals Cups, 9 Kenwood Cups, as well as logging over 150,000 offshore miles. All welcome to attend. 7.30pm start.
