Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter.  
Happy New Year!  We hope that everyone has had a great Christmas/New Year break, well rested and now ready for 2013!  There is so much happening at the Club so please read on to mark all the dates in your diaries! Please note that there will be no racing at MHYC this Saturday 5th January, 2013.

Get in Early for discounted Tickets to the 2013 Barefoot Ball!

This year the 2013 Barefoot Ball is on Saturday 9th February - so only 5 weeks away.  We have an earlybird discount to purchase tickets up until 18th January, 2013, so book now to avoid disappointment.  Earlybird tickets are $80 Members and $90 non members.  The theme this year is "Mexican" so get out your sombreros and maracas for a fun night with live band, "Planet Groove" and DJ until the early hours.

The 2013 Sydney Harbour Regatta will be run in the second week of March, 9 - 10 March, 2013.

Thursday Twilights Report - Race 11

MHYC Twiilight Race 11 was a great way to end 2012. It is half way through the Thursday Twilight series with 11 more races to go in 2013.
It was a fast race in an 18 knots SSE wind with 1 metre waves. Boats experienced wind gusts to 30 knots plus.

The first race for 2013 will be Race 7 on Tuesday 8th January, 2013.

Beach BBQ & Harbourview Bar & Bistro Open for Twilights

The delicious menu offerings for the Twilight Series will again consist of either casual meals from the BBQ ranging in price from $7 to $12, from Beef burger, Spicy Peri Peri Chicken with rice and vegetables , or Peri Peri Rice with vegetables, to a Twilight bistro menu in the Harbourview Bar & Bistro.  Bookings are essential for the Bistro. Please call 9969 1244 to book a table.

Junior Sailing Holiday Camps - Book Online - Learn to Sail Only - Tackers Sold Out

MHYC will be holding Junior Sailing Holiday Fun Camps during the January school holiday period.  All the Tackers camps are sold out but there are still limited availabilities for Learn to Sail. The camps will run as follow:-

The 177th Australia Day Regatta will be sailed on the waters of Sydney Harbour on Saturday 26 January 2013.
